  1. I make pump up videos once a year, just out of love for the Canucks. Here is this years.. I'm very saddened by the news of our forum closure, un real.
  2. I agree, plus we would be giving up the top AHL scoring Dman and a 5th for an average AHL Dman, I don't see how this would be a win.
  3. Suter I'd be ok with on a 1 year deal, there's better 3C options in next years ufa class. If we can find a way to dump Myers we should target Dumba to play with Hughes on 2 year stop gap contract while we wait for Willander. He's a free asset whether he works out or not.
  4. Toronto can trade those players for assets instead of a player that hasn't played in years and cap dump. I doubt Toronto belives getting rid of Brodie and bringing in Myers helps get them the cup. Props on the creative proposal though.
  5. I wouldn't mind trying it, until we obtain a true 3C, Blueger is a solid 4C.
  6. Ya their pretty high on Novak. What's your opinion on the player though, would you be happy to have him on our team?
  7. That's fair, he probably plays up in the preds lineup but that may prove to be unsuccessful and doesn’t mean he's a 1st line calibré player. The book is still out on him, he doesn't have a full season in the league yet which is why I labled him a middle 6 centre ie: 3c/2c (for the canucks) and also why they re-signd him to a "show me" 1 year contract at 800k. If Petty or Miller get injured do we want Blueger to step in to replace them, the guys never scored 10 goals. You can go on about where he plays in the preds line up and what Trotz has said but team directions can change. Do the preds accept this offer with the future in mind? Maybe, maybe not.. Who knows how they value our prospect. Maybe we need to add more value, maybe we just keep Raty and be patient. If they intend to take a leap of faith and "build" around Novak, good on them, that may work out for them but in the end I like the player and see him as a middle 6 centre that improves our centre depth significantly. If you have a better target in mind I'd luv to see your proposal
  8. Haha I'll leave line combos up to the coach and that's certainly not you. Thanks for your opinion though.
  9. No, but hockey is a team sport, collectively it can still be a defensively sound line with help from teamates and different steatagies. His offense and penalties drawn make up for his poor def imo. I'm not trying to argue your points as you do make some good ones but I still feel he is a player that would greatly benefit our team.
  10. On the stas you posted it says 3rd liner on it haha, but you could be rite, he could get more playing time in Nashville. Not sure how much that matters. I like the idea having a scoring 3rd line personally. He could get time on the 2nd pp unit aswell.
  11. Thanks for the feedback, I wasn't aware Novak was named as Johansens replacement but I'm not suprised, I know they are really high on him. Beau would be easier to trade, lower cap hit, slightly younger and 1 year left.I'm all game for acquring picks. I just think Blueger is not the answer for us at 3C, great 4C though. I also think Podz and Hogz should be in the lineup next season... we have too many wingers eh
  12. Hey guys, big Canucks fan here, I make Canuck pump up videos once a year on yt Canucks4life. I haven't made a trade proposal in awhile, let me know what you think! To Nashville: Conor Garland – RW (25% salary retained-$1.23M) Aatu Räty – C 3th round pick (2025) To Vancouver: Thomas Novak – C 2nd round pick (2024 TBL) For those of you not familiar with the trade target, Novak is a 26yo 3rd round pick that broke onto the scene this year with the Preds scoring 43points in 51 games (17G & 26A). He was very consistent this season. Novak was re-signed to a 1-year contract worth 800k, he will be a UFA afterwards, but I’m convinced we can get him to re-sign in beautiful BC and be a part of something special with the Canucks! I target this player because I think he would fill in perfectly at 3C, I also think there is potential for Novak to move up in the line up if there are any injuries along the way which can not be said for Blueger. I also target Novak due to his age and Nashville’s need for point producing wingers. We lose Räty however this trade solidifies our center position, gives us a 2nd round pick in 2024 and clears up $3.7mil in cap space. Preds lose Novak but gain a middle 6 winger that puts up points on an affordable contract ($3.7M) with a 3-year term. Preds do currently have some depth at C and gain more depth for the future with the acquisition of Räty. Preds lose a 2nd round pick but they have 3 of them in the 2024 draft. They also gain a 3rd round pick for 2025. I don’t necessarily want to give up on Räty but I do believe he is at least 3 years out from making an impact. Any thoughts or suggestions are welcomed!
  13. I'd be shocked if the flames traded Hanifin to a divisional rival for picks and a 3rd liner, they probably want something back that helps them win now, there's a rumour he might go to the Leafs in a Nylander deal. Pesce is more possible for sure. I just don't like the idea of giving up a 1st round pick, you're right though, that's probably where trade discussions would start.
  14. Both Schenn & Paraynko have NTC No way I'm giving up a 1st and 2nd in this trade. We need to be patient and stop trading away our picks especially for mid-tier players and cap dumps. I could see merrit if it was for a legit top pair RD but really i think we have that with Willander in 2 or 3 years.
  15. He has a NTC Thankfully Alvin didn't bite, they were trying hard to dump him on us before his NTC kicked in.
