+6 a week before Christmas  up here , although the second and third weeks of January are usually the coldest.

It's funny, the Canucks have 11 Saturdays off this hockey season but I'd rather be watching them tonight than tomorrow. At least you didn't miss the game!

You know what I wonder about, is why there's only 1 late game on Saturdays. You think the league would be able to schedule a little variety there, but I guess there aren't enough Western Conference hosts to do so.

I think Monday of next week? They play 2 games one this thursday and saturday so I would assume they leave the next day and make it in by Monday

Rather watch NBC draft coverage they got all the TSN guys. Once again US gets better treatment than Canada hockey fans.

I've been thinking about it for a while actually. To be so active at CDC and then to not sign in since February 18th... I hope I am worried for nothing. 

I've been wondering about it for a couple of months now too @Roger Neilson's TowelI have tried alerting him a couple of times already. He went from being a rather prolific contributor here to completely inactive seemingly overnight which is what worries me. Typically when someone tires of it at happens gradually over at least short period of time. I'm hoping for the best here.

On that note it's good to see @chon derry back!

It started out as a bit of both been to lazy to change it 

He's actually not that bad. He has so many styles which make him unique from different rappers. The way he switches his tone from being calm and collected to being absolutely versatile while staying on flow shows how much potential he has. Other than look at me, his other songs are not that bad. But then again, any good rapper can do this. 

He also said that he studies other types of music including japanese music. He's also easy to understand when he talks and doesn't mumble like other 'rappers'

That's a good question Vinny. What we don't know is how many times 1 or more people said the same or similar things to, or if they had any effect on, Goldobin prior to Sutter's public comments. Whether Sutter is the epitome of a battling forward is irrelevant. He's at the end of his 9th year in the league so he obviously knows a thing or 2 about what it takes to STAY in this league. 

The media, with absolutely nothing better to do with themselves, take the opportunity to put a negative spin on several cherry picked situations and slap out a "story".

That article was peppered with so much bias I couldn't even finish it. Waste of a read.

One thing I find, and I suppose it's human nature, is that when the team's doing well, the articles all tend to be positive and is all about how good the team's character is and great plays that are made. When the team's doing terrible, every sports writer all of a sudden becomes a President/GM/Coach as every little thing gets magnified. But imho, the players need to know this as well - I don't know, if I were a player and the team's not doing well, I'll be extra cautious about what I mention to the media as they'll be out for blood.

I agree with you for the most part, but these guys aren't running for office so they really shouldn't give a hoot about what the media writes or thinks, and I'd wager most of them don't.

2. Players get fatigued whether we admit it or not (and risk injury) 2 months before the playoffs

3. The players going are also the very best players on their respective club teams so not only are you tiring them, you're tiring your stars

4. Insurance issues as well - no owner wants to see a crosby or ovie hurt for the season or worse playing games they are not paid for
