I respectfully disagree, basketball is much more entertaining than soccer imo, idc about how high the point totals are because that's what makes it exciting. So many times your heart is beating in the last minute of the game hoping your team can make the comeback it makes it fun. In soccer I've seen countless times in extra time where the team in has to be an asshole and get hurt by doing some random $&!# and completely using up the extra 3-4 minutes. That's just one of the many reasons why I dislike watching it.

Don't get me wrong tho I absolutely love playing soccer.

No doubt soccer is an acquired taste. If you don't understand or appreciate the subtleties of the game then it's easy to look at it and just see a bunch of guys running around passing and diving.

A discerning eye looks at a game and see's it as a boxing match where two fighters are jabbing and punching but ultimately looking for weaknesses in the other team's defense.

One of the greatest sporting events I've ever seen was the last game of the 2013/2014 Premiere League season where Man City and Man United were tied and were playing across town from each other at the same time. Man United won their game and figured they had the Championship won as City was trailing in their game by TWO goals with just Extra Time remaining. City had to win their game to win the Championship and out of nowhere scored two goals in injury time to win. One of the greatest games ever and one of the greatest calls ever...Aguerooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!

He was pretty good tonight. I thought he looked like one the best forwards for Utica. 6 shots on net I believe. And he was by far the fastest skater in the game. Saw good ol Virtanen actually carrying the puck around the net blowing past defenders and creating plays. 

One of his linemates was Valk and boy Valk is one heck of a player.

Man Valk eh!I remember wanting him to make his mark a couple years ago. Looks like he's ekeing his way through the pro's, good to see him scoring.

Oh, don't tell me. But to me, Demko is the one I have really high expectations/hopes for. He showed so much promise in Boston, I hope he turns out to be an elite goalie. We cannot win the cup without one. Hell, we had Schenider and Luongo, and still we were left empty-handed. Not that they were the reason we lost, but shows how many pieces you need to win.

I've been thinking about it for a while actually. To be so active at CDC and then to not sign in since February 18th... I hope I am worried for nothing. 

I've been wondering about it for a couple of months now too @Roger Neilson's TowelI have tried alerting him a couple of times already. He went from being a rather prolific contributor here to completely inactive seemingly overnight which is what worries me. Typically when someone tires of it at happens gradually over at least short period of time. I'm hoping for the best here.

On that note it's good to see @chon derry back!

Two games on a Friday night. Laaaame. 

It's funny, the Canucks have 11 Saturdays off this hockey season but I'd rather be watching them tonight than tomorrow. At least you didn't miss the game!

You know what I wonder about, is why there's only 1 late game on Saturdays. You think the league would be able to schedule a little variety there, but I guess there aren't enough Western Conference hosts to do so.

Hockey night in Canada tomorrow will make up for it

He is a decent skater but not dynamic in the class of McDavid, Eichel, or Matthews.

Don't have to worry that he is Cody Hodgson but he is not exactly a fluid mover or burner. Think Sam Reinhart with better skating.
