NHL EHM 2007 is the latest, and almost certainly the last version of Eastside Hockey Manager.

So it didn't end up so bad I got a job with the Red Wings but I'm worried now that either they will fire me while I rebuild or if I make it through that will they fire me for winning to much like the 67's did? I'm hoping the disable human firings kicked back in, I hate building a team to have it taken away from me because of some cpu bs.

I start from 2007 usually anyways since it has some cool older guys who get regenerated but also because after 5-10 years you won't recognize most of the league anyway.

You can download rosters from ehm the blueline and then you put the whole new DB folder in the database folder and then when you start a new game it should allow you to choose default DB or the new one you just put in. Hope this helps because that is about what I remember having to do.

You gotta run a patch to fix the start date though which is a minor pain in the ass and who knows the effects on your save game after a period of time.

So I ditched the wings and went with the 1st Canadian Club that came open, the Jets. In my 1st draft I traded up from 8th to get the #1 and pick what I'm pretty sure is a Thornton regen and with a later 1st I traded for earlier in the season I got a Brian Campbell regen. But these were only the major acquisitions in the 1st round, I think I got a plug with my 2nd pick(damn scouts) but my 3rd is where I may have made an awesome steal as I'm fairly sure I got a Henrik Sedin regen. His only real problem is his work rate, it is at 6, other than that he is determined, ambitious and loyal and contrary to the real Sedin he is fast with 17 acceleration and 19 speed.Posted Image

Can someone give me step by step instructions on how to download and install the newest roster update? I have tried countless times and I am tired of playing with the original rosters.

You need to have already intalled the 3.0.4 patch I think and then you just go into the folders and find the database folder and put the new roster update "Lidas"(or w/e it is named) and place it inside the database folder then when you start a new game you should be able to select a different database.

On a side not Dave Bolland just made the hall in my game lol how ridiculous.

The HOF selections are pretty retarded in this game. Far too easy.

Conversely, it's very difficult to get a number retired.

They have to be HOF calibur and always be under contract to your team never reaching RFA or UFA status. I have yet to have one but I'm hoping.

I hung on to Eric Staal a couple of years past his prime in an effort to finally get a retired number. Won multiple cups, a couple of Conn Smythes for him. But then at 40, I couldn't re-sign him - he wouldn't listen to any offer. He retired a few days into free agency, and no retirement.

So ridiculous.

I guess I'll have to take into account trying to sign them for multiple years.

Does anybody have a direct link for the Manimal 4.0 roster update? I had to reinstall the game, and the EHM Blueline website forum is down at the moment.

The HOF is used more for tracking regens than as an actual HOF.

Can't believe the Sharks decided not to qualify a 21-year old Hasek regen. I search the free agent pool for 18-25 year old free agents every offseason and I usually end up finding a decent depth player or something, not a franchise goalie.

Also allowed me to trade Jonathan Bernier (turned out to be an average starter) for a couple first rounders. Thanks San Jose. :emot-parrot:

I hate when teams do that and just let a star player walk that was an RFA, I always want to get them but I enjoy developing my own talent to much.

The structure of the game has been messed up by raising the salary cap. I don't think any of the other financial aspects are changed, so most teams not in rapid hockey markets end up below the salary floor, and can't free up money to re-sign guys.

I've been playing with the Hurricanes, and if I spend anywhere near the cap, I can only avoid losing money by going all the way to the finals. It doesn't matter that I have a dynasty team, with 5 star players, and 7 guys in the all-star game - Carolina still doesn't draw full crowds regularly, and the ticket prices and television money stays the same.

I think next time I start a new GM, I'm going to stick with the original settings, and see if that's any better. It's been so long since I've played it that way. It will certainly be more challenging to retain a winning line-up.

By old settings do you mean with the old rosters or with no cap and teams can spend as much as they can afford?

This happens a lot to you? I'm pretty sure this is the first time I've seen a team let go of a prospect at that age that pans out to be anything more than a bottom sixer.

The default settings are the original rosters and a $44,000,000 salary cap.

I've also noticed, well into the game, that the AI signings are sometimes higher than what counts against the cap. One of my stars left, and was signed for over 6.3, but in "salaries against cap", it was around 5.9. Don't think he was injured either...

Pretty sure I had it happen with like a Nazzy regen or something, I'm pretty sure they were Swedish and on their way to becoming a top liner.

Anybody been fired while they had human sackings disabled, because I just did wtf?

No I use the orginal DB or I also have a lidas 1 but I don't like running a patch all the time thats why I haven't updated to the Manimal rosters.

Here is the best prospect I have ever drafted in the CHL during his rookie year we won the President and Memorial Cups and Hiebert didn't even get playoff MVP went to another one of my guys who had 29 goals in the playoffs. lol

This is just a random screenshot I thought I'd share. A 6minute natural hattrick to win the game right at the end.
