Why is Calgary ranked 16th? Aside from Irving and Boyd, they don't have a lot of quality prospects.
I found that strange too :?

This list obviously includes players who are rookies on their team because Colorado outside of Wolski and Stastny have a terrible crop of players. Pitts isn't amazing either beyound their current stars. I'm refering to junior/college/AHL type players.

Well they got LEtang.

so

Crosby
Malkin
Staal
Fleury
Letang

Letang coulld get 80 points in the NHL one day MAF is a potential allstar, Staal is a 41 goal scorer some day, Malkin could be Bure, and Crosby, well he PWNS ovechkin.

Thought so but I wasn't positive. Thanks for verifying my suspicions. Too bad for Raymond though. Makes for a bit of a tough decision seeing as how well he's doing both academically (won one of the nation's academic awards) and hockey wise. My money's on another year of College, unfortunately, but what do I know? His team sucks and he may want out.

Can't spell Kesler without Selke.

Slapyourself if you think Kesler will score 25+ goals, he just doesn't have the offensive skill.

No, Bourdon plays in the more offensive QMJHL while Staal plays in the tougher OHL. Bourdon's also expected to be a more offensive player.

I haven't been watching his games so I don't know why his numbers are down. Even offensive defenceman are often at the mercy of the forwards as far as helping the Dman put points on the board. However, with Bourdon's big boom boom I'm surprised he doesn't have more goals from PP time.

I wonder if his confidence is hurting from his time with the Canucks, or perhaps he still has some nagging injuries ...

I wouldn't call the OHL defensive by any means. More goals are scored in that league than any other, the goalies have some of the worst stats in terms of comparison to the other two leagues.

The general consensus is that the Q is the weakest defensive league.

Like I say though, I haven't seen Bourdon in junior this year so I can't really comment on his numbers. It may mean something, it may mean nothing.

Hes being used as a shut-down d-man with Cape Breton, he was an offensive beast with Moncton because hes wa sbeing used in an offensive role, but cape breton has enough socring punch as is, what they didnt have was bruising shutdown guy, so they brought in Bourdon to mold him into that

Pittsburgh is gonna be scary talented in the next 3 years, how many tiems we play them next years anyone know ansyewre?

and curious: why choose number 41 goals? not 40 or 50? why 41

LOL

But don't you think that he should have more the 4 goals this year from the PP alone. Given his big shot I find that kind of curious.

I'm not particularly concerned either way. I sort of feel that he's beyond the junior game at this point and it's probably not doing a lot for his development any more.

Do you really want to be known as a team that taunts other teams. A team like Anaheim would fight us atleast three times a period.

the talent in this years draft is very even

i wouldn't be suprised if someone ranked 12th goes in the 2nd round

this years draft is good and bad... there aren't any crosbys or ovechkins this year, but the talent is very even and spread out, and is very deep

it all depends on the teams needs too...

these ratings mean nothing.. ie. Grabner was rated to go in the 2nd round and we picked him at 14th overall?
