I was wondering a few things.  I heard that that prospect Rahimi is supposed to be really good.  Anyone know what kind of a Defenceman he is?  I assume he is a hard-nosed kind but I wasn't sure.  And also, who do you guys think is out top prospect?  If the canucks had to lose all but one of our prospects who would you guys keep?

I would either keep Schneider but seeing that we have Luongo I would pass, Koltsov has the most promise but he may never come to NA or play for us so I would go with Grabner, he can score and we need scoring.

Rahimi is shutdown defenseman. Doesn't get too many points.

I would probably keep Schneider. Hopefully when Luongo's contract is up we can sign him cheap. Koltsov has said he will come over next year.

Bourdon a +1 in a 4-1 win.

*sigh*

Gotta be something wrong with him

Well he did have 4 shots and 6 hits so it's not like he's playing horrible. It's always hard to adjust to a new team especially offensively for a D. Powerplays are different and you have to get used to different players. Hopefully the points will come soon.

He's had i think over a month with them, the free grace period is over

Yeah that's true. Maybe he isn't getting the same amount of PP time he was in Moncton. But I don't know, I seem to find myself defending Bourdon even though I agree he is stuggling. All we can do is hope for the best.

How soon can he play for the Moose? End of this season or the start of next season?

Hi, I'm wondering where does Bourdon rank in terms of potential among the defencemen in his draft class.

Jack Johnson
Brian Lee
Luc Bourdon
Marc Staal
Sasha Pokuluk
Ryan Parent
M E Vlasic

Above are some of the  notable defencemen from the 05 draft (in order drafted).

From that list, only Vlasic is playing in the NHL right now. However, I think that J J will ultimately turn out to be the best from that list.

With the Forsberg trade, I've heard some people say that Parent>Bourdon. Is that really true?

Parent is a better defensive defender than Bourdon is, he is all D all the time.

Only time will tell who will be better from that list, my guess is that JJ should be near the top.

Fredheim was drafted by the canucks in 05. He was 1 of the most heavily recruited d-men out of american High School.

American High School ??????
Fredheim is a B.C. boy (born in Campbell River) who went to Notre Dame college in Saskatchewan.
Most of the people on this forum don't seem to understand that "they're", "their" and "there" are not interchangeable. Is this not taught in school anymore?

He's only 7 behind the leader even after missing 12 games to flu/injury.

Leads me to wonder why people are saying things like.

"He should have more goals for a 17'th overall draft pick"

Seems to be doing fairly well to me :? .

14th overall.

And its the much more defensive WHL.

The OHL/QMJHL are just all offence.

I'd be very happy if he gets to 40 goals this year.

Grabner has fantastic offensive skills but I hope his flu/injuries don't become a yearly routine - otherwise I could see him stepping into the Canucks top two lines within the next 1-3 years.
I judge you when you use poor grammar.

Thank you Cymbaline for the awesome Sig

I dont think he has much of a chance being in the lineup next year. In two years, yes.
