There's a mistake in the bios below, Nonis was GM when they selected Edler.

Great, I've been waiting for this.
Here are some brief exerts from the Matt's writeups...
...has the potential to be a solid No. 1 goaltender in the NHL. ...will share the load with surprising goaltender Drew MacIntyre in Manitoba next season.

...shows signs of being a bona fide top pairing defender in a few years.

...primary asset is his lightning-fast speed and acceleration. He handles the puck well at top speed and is deadly on the rush. ...potential to be a 30-goal scorer in the future.
Quote
Quote
...is the epitome of a rough-and-tumble blueliner whose game is all about punishing the opposition. ...has top-four potential and could be a truly imposing presence on the Canucks blueline for many years to come.
Quote
...tremendous stickhandling skill. ...has the raw talent to become a second-line NHLer.

Yeah much better than the Oilers game. Looks like his old self out there, which is very good. Now I just want to see him lay some guy out like Pyatt did last game. I know that's not really his type of game but he's HUGE. Would be nice to see him use his size and smoke somebody.
Edit: Hiroshima did you get my PM?
Also..
Ellis and the Moose get shutout by Houston 2-0. Once again Ellis gets no help up front. He made 16 saves and from what I've heard from Moose fans the second goal was weak. Too bad...
It's funny how the two sources viewed the goal

Ahahaha thats awesome.
Weinhandl has been great in the AHL though.
He's being used in an offensive role, so he plays well. Completely unlike what he was being used as before being sent down (a 4th line grinder). When used in the right role, he's effective.
