We need To Trade up to draft a quality RW like cherpanov, kane, gagner, or aliu
Definitely not. We need a #1 centre, preferably one that is big and mobile.
we have a #1 centre buddy Hank Sedin remember him

And after that?

And I would not touch Aliu with a 50ft pole, he left his team prematurely and apperently has attitude problems.

He walked off on his team?

Wikipedia 4 life:

Due to reported attitude problems, the Wolves suspended Aliu indefinitely with several games still remaining in the 2006-07 season. According to a report in the Sudbury Star March 20th, after speaking to his agent the coach agreed for Akim Aliu to join the team in practice with the understanding that he would be a good "teammate". Aliu is expected to be a top NHL prospect for the 2007 draft. It is still not known if he will play during the playoffs

From Moose Website:

http://www.moosehock...7/20070323a.php

Newest Moose Raymond might find the twine

He's arrived as a late-season addition on an amateur contract and could end up being just a footnote to this Moose team but his skill set suggests Mason Raymond may make a little noise before the Moose season is done.

The 21-year-old Raymond scored 25 goals and 49 assists in 79 NCAA games with the University of Minnesota-Duluth before joining the Moose last week. Those are big numbers in U.S. college hockey.

The first thing an observer notices is the lanky Albertan's speed. Shortly after it's his joyful smile and big personality. The saying, 'I'm just glad to be here,' should be tattooed to Raymond's forehead. Life's a beach, in quotations: :D

* "It's exciting to come and join a team like this. It's an honour, to tell you the truth to join a team like this. It's a great experience and I'm so happy to be here."

* "I'll take it as I can and when I can get it in, I get in. But it's great to be here with guys like (Mike Keane) Keaner and (Yannick Tremblay) Trembs that are showing me the way."

* "I hope I can help the team. When they need me I'll be ready to play. I like to use speed as one of the assets to my game. I'm fortunate to have it. This is just such a great experience."

I also found this pretty funny in the article on Reid:

"For Brandon Reid, staying positive has become a difficult chore. Reid left the Vancouver Canucks organization and spent the previous two seasons in Europe before coming back with hopes of sticking in Vancouver. Instead he's endured a frustrating season with the Moose and has been a healthy scratch five of the last eight games.

"I know what you're up to," suggested Reid, as a reporter walked his way. "I really don't think I should talk."

End of discussion.

sounds like Reid isn't too happy, he'll probably leave for Europe again in the offseason.

And some people STILL believe he can be an NHL'er. . .

he probably COULD be, but he'll never be able to stay in a team's top 6 regularily, and he'd be useless on the 3rd/4th line. If he was a little bit bigger he'd no doubt be great. Oh well, with guys like Raymond and Grabner we won't miss his speed at least.

If he was more talented and could finish he might increase his chances by about 25%.

He can't even crack an AHL roster, what makes you think he can still make the NHL?

4-1 Cape now with 7 mins left. Looks like Vorocek is uping his draft status already with 2 G 2 A vs Moncton.

Brandon and Moose game should be starting in about 15 mins.

Thanks to mr7 for the sig

Cape Breton Wins and now lead Series 1-0

Bourdon had a very solid game and played on the edge. On one play he destroyed a kid, and that created a 2-on-1 for Cape Breton.

He seem to be get alot of hits tonight and definitely seemed to step up his game. Getting the one assist was also was a bonus.

The game on Saturday is on a free webcast FYI.
