Canuck prospects dominate in RSL playoffs
Rearguard Kirill Koltsov scored the series clincher 8:49 into overtime to help his team, Avangard Omsk, advance to the semifinals of the Russian Super League's playoffs with a 4-3 win in Game 4 at Yaroslavl.
It was Koltsov's third goal in the last four games.
Center Artem Chubarov improved his playoff scoring average to a point per game when he assisted on goals by linemates Pavel Rosa and Alexei Kaljuzhnyj.
Chubarov now totals two goals and five assists in seven postseason contests.
Winger Sergei Shirokov assisted on Denis Parshin's goal with 43 seconds left in the second period which forced a fifth and decisive game as CSKA won Game 4 vs. Ufa by a score of 1-0.
Shirokov also averages a point per game in the playoffs with two goals and five assists in seven games and has a three-game point streak running.
In Sweden, defender Daniel Rahimi picked up his first point of the Kvalserien with an assist in Björklöven's 3-2 win at Leksand.
Besides the assist, Rahimi also has eight PIM and an even +/- rating in seven Kvalserien games.
