how about this playoff lines ?
Sedins-Sedins-Pyatt
Naslund-Smolinski-Grabner
Raymond-Morrison-Kesler
Cowan-Linden-Cooke

imo, speed is our main weakness, so raymond and Grabner are here to address this problem, they are bound to be better than our scapegoat now!

even thought raymond and grabner might not get the call up, kesler and green should be returning, i dont see the point of playing bulis anymore. he didnt perform with any line.

No, bringing Grabby up won't do us much good to be honest. Grabner has been a NO SHOW in the Chiefs playoffs, playing against basically the #1 team in the WHL. To put him in the NHL playoffs against players that so much stronger then him, and prepared, both mentally and physically could be devastating to his development.

Grabner seems to get extremely down on himself, and like most junior kids, needs to work on being consistent. At this point, with the "rumours" of the Moose "room issues", **Cough Reid Cough Schultz** this Moose may look for more scoring help, and Grabner being so high up on the Canucks Priority list that I would be shocked if Grabner wasn't in the Moose lineup by Thursday mourning. The Canucks lineup......not so much.

Getting really down on himself when not doing well sounds a lot like a Canuck who is already in our organization *cough naslund cough*

2007 NCAA Tournament review
Written by DJ Powers on 03/26/2007

Miami would go on to meet the winner of the other regional semi-final between #2 Boston College and #3 St. Lawrence. The Eagles came into the contest as the nation's hottest team, riding a 10-game winning streak, but the Saints would make sure that Boston College worked for their win. The tenacious St. Lawrence offense got off to a strong start, forcing Eagles junior goaltender Cory Schneider (VAN) to come with some huge saves to keep the Saints off of the board. Senior and team captain Brian Boyle (LA), who continues to play on defense in the post-season, got Boston College off to a very early lead with his 18th of the season at the 1:24 mark of the opening stanza.

The Eagles would extend their lead very early in the second period at the 40-second mark on a power play tally by freshman Ben Smith for his ninth of the season. Less than two minutes later, sophomore Brock McBride would spoil Schneider's bid for a shutout, notching his ninth of the season at the 2:12 mark to cut Boston College's lead to one. It would be the closest that the Saints would get as the Eagles would tally two more goals by sophomores Andrew Orpik (BUF) and Brock Bradford (BOS) to seal St. Lawrence's fate. Despite letting in three goals, freshman Alex Petizian turned in a strong performance in goal for St. Lawrence stopping 31 of the Eagles' 34 shots in the loss.

Boston College would meet Miami in the regional championship game on Sunday afternoon. The aggressiveness that the RedHawks showed against New Hampshire in the semi-final carried over to the regional championship against Boston College, but the loss of one of their top players would become one of the turning points of the game. At the 3:01 mark of the opening period, Miami senior Marty Guerin (LA) would be ejected for delivering a check from behind on Boston College sophomore defenseman Tim Filangieri. Guerin had been moved to play up with juniors Nathan Davis and Ryan Jones on the RedHawks top line earlier in the season, creating one of the most potent trios in all of college hockey. After a scoreless first period, Miami came out attacking again in the second period.

However, it would be Boston College who would draw first blood. At the 3:00 mark, senior Joe Rooney tallied the first of his two goals in the game for his 14th of the season. He would strike again less than three minutes later at the 5:44 mark on the power play to extend the Eagles lead 2-0. Freshman Kyle Kucharski and sophomore Benn Ferriero (PHO) would tally two more goals to preserve Boston College's 4-0 win. Schneider was sensational in goal, stopping all 37 shots to post his 15th career and nation co-leading seventh shutout of the season. He was named the regional's Most Outstanding Player combining to stop 61 of 62 shots on the weekend and backstopping Boston College to a return trip to the Frozen Four.

ALL-TOURNAMENT TEAM

G: Cory Schneider (VAN), Boston College (Most Outstanding Player)
D: Brian Boyle (LA), Boston College
D: Mitch Ganzak, Miami
F: Brock Bradford (BOS), Boston College
F: Ryan Jones (MIN), Miami
F: Joe Rooney, Boston College

Luc's Team is in the Playoffs (They are one of the top team in the CHL, and are up 2-0 in their first playoff round)

Rahimi is still in the playoffs, I believe he will be joining the Moose (if he does join them), around Apirl 10th or around then.

On His team?, of course he is the #1 D-man. I am very glad to here that he appears to be a monster in the playoffs. Almost as if he is playing alittle bit possessed, and has really stepped up on his team.

From Cape Breton Fans:

"I'm LOVIN' Luc right now, he's playing a very simple, nasty game out there and is the ONE player that the Foggies are targetting on the PP. They play the off winger SO high against him, it's no wonder Pascal puts him on the first unit as there is a huge seam for a cross ice pass when he's out there. They try to compensate it on the other end having the far winger / d man play the middle but there's room there.
"

"Bourdon finally looking comfortable. Playoffs are his time to shine, and he is. It's hilarious that the Fog Devils hate him to the point of it completely throwing them off their game when he's out there."

"As for frowing balls,I see your tough guy was all willing to fight with the much smaller Gallant, but later in the game when Bourdon was right in his face,he simply skated away. Then how about in game 1 ,where the mouth Graham wanted to fight, but would not remove his helmut.Good thing he didn't because Luc would have smashed his face right in.If t5he Eagles get the next game,he can look for a good beating coming his way for sure.Don't thin Pascal will forget him telling him to F off.Just before Eagles get rid of you guys is when Luc is going to get him good. "

"- For the first time, Luc seemed to be having some fun out there. He played one of his best games to date.

"I thought Luc Bourdon stepped up his intensity quite a bit last night after showing little in most regular season games since we acquired him. Many people have said "Wait till the playoffs, you'll see the real Luc", and I've said "I'll believe it when I see it." Well, despite a couple of mistakes (including the bad icing that led to the goal against), he really showed a lot more intensity last night (at least I thought so) than in reg season games, and he was a pretty good choice for second star of the game."

"I thought Bourdon played one of his better games as an Eagle. He's not hear to fight, but play physical. The Foggies would love nothing more than to turn this into a war, as at times we were absolutely toying with them. They can't keep up with us.
"

Thats great to hear! I really really hope Bourdon can develop into a top 4 d man for us.

IMO Grabner won't be dressing for the Moose. He is to young and doesn't have enough experience. Quite simply the Moose have to many better players right now. He could skate as one of the 'balck aces' and hope for a injury.

i'm all for grabner travelling and practising with the moose so he can have a feel of what it takes to be a pro.

He could also play with Victoria full time as well, it's not the AHL but at least he'd still be playing.

Hansen Article:http://slam.canoe.ca...844896-sun.html

Rookie forward arriving

Moose reward Hansen's turnaround with extra ice time
By KEN WIEBE -- Sun Media

Striking a balance in net

MILWAUKEE, Wisc. -- Jannik Hansen has found another gear and it couldn't have come at a better time for the Manitoba Moose.

Several weeks ago, it appeared that Hansen had hit the wall and was left searching for answers.

But during the past seven American Hockey League games, the rookie forward from Denmark is enjoying a resurgence, the most recent example coming Sunday when he scored the tying goal on the power play against the Grand Rapids Griffins that allowed the Moose to force overtime and eventually win in a shootout.

"It's always nice to play a little bit more and to see the puck go in is a good feeling," said Hansen, who sits seventh in team scoring with 11 goals and 32 points in 65 games. "I don't know if I feel better. I really don't know how to put it in words. It just seems like during the past couple of games, it's been coming together a little more than it was earlier."

Whatever the secret, whether it was a recent visit from his parents and sister or coming to the realization that he'd have to elevate his game or risk watching from the stands as a healthy scratch, Hansen has been playing some of his best hockey of the season.

"Of course it was frustrating, but I knew that coming into this year would be a little different and I wouldn't be a go-to guy," said Hansen. "You can't take any nights off. In junior, you could get away with it and still have a decent game, but here if you have a night off, you really notice it."

Hansen, who had seven goals and 13 points in 12 Western Hockey League playoff games with the Portland Winter Hawks last season, can't wait for the post-season party to begin.

"I just want to keep up my play and be as ready as possible for the playoffs," said Hansen, who went through a season-long 16-game goal-less drought before scoring twice in his past four games. "That's when the real season starts. It's what every player looks forward to."

Moose head coach Scott Arniel said recently that young guys like Hansen have given his team a boost during the arduous schedule.

"He's been one of our top forwards and he's been getting the extra ice because he's earned it," said Arniel. "He's pushing people back with his speed, he's being creative and he's making things happen.

"He looks real refreshed and he's back to where he was at the beginning of the year. I like the game that he's playing and he's put some consistency into his game, where before he had the ups and downs. It's a good time of the year for him to get on a bit of a roll. He's a guy who we're going to count on for some offence."

For some reason I do not think Salo will resign here, unless Nonis throws a money bag at him, which I certainly hope he doesnt because he is not worth it. What is the status right now on Koltsov? Do you think he will come to NA and play? He could certainly fill Salo's spot as an offensive role, and we could develop Bourdon in the Moose for atleast a year to refine his defensive skills.
