you think simek will be ready for some nhl games?

Next year?,

Maybe 5 or so games, I'm not talking 25+ games. Maybe just a small amount. One thing I notice about Simek that for his age, the kid is pretty strong and has good strength along the boards. He, (Like Grabby are ATLEAST a year, most likely TWO away from having an impact).

Yeah great to read about all our prosepects (maybe we over rate them but what the hell) I could see Shirokov playing next year if he comes over mostly because he's already playing against men.

Out of all our prospects, I'm most excited about Shirokov. I really hope he comes over next year.

Well when the scouts were interviewing him, he said that he is interested in learning the NA game, even if its playing for Manitoba.

Anyways, I'm going to the Salmon Kings game this Wednesday where they are playing LA.

Anyways, do you think we will one day see this line as our second line?

The more I see projected lines the more I realize the Canucks need to pick a GREAT passer. Guy that can open up the ice and set up guys like Grabner, Raymond and Simek.

Yep, that's exactly what I was thinking

Sedin - Sedin - Pyatt
Raymond - Kesler - Grabner
Simek - Morrison - Naslund
Burrows - Rypien - Fuller

Sweet 4th line if Fuller has good speed.

We definitly need that 6'3+ playmaking centre with good speed though.

As for people setting up Raymond, Raymond is more of a playmaker than scorer, so he would likely be setting someone up.

So draft a Center who has a good scoring touch but also can make a pass.

By the time Grabner/Simek/Raymond are NHL ready, do you really think Naslund will be around? I don't see Naslund wanting to be a third-liner. Plus, I'm sure we have better prospects to take fourth line positions.

Naslund will have retired for sure.

BTW I'm going to the Salmon Kings on Wednesday so I'll have a looksie at MA Bernier, Ellis/Vincent, and I guess F-P Guennete.

So does Jozef Balej still count as a prospect, and do the canucks still have his rights? if so, where is he now? I'm just wondering cause i really thought he could be decent in the NHL.

I just don't see Kes as a 2nd line Centre, EVER.
Edit: When Grabner and Simek make the team, I doubt the Canucks will have Nazzy in the lineup, let alone the third line.
