Hiroshima doesn't know sh*t.

Grabner can dish out the hits.

Oh he knows S*it, just looks at how much of the stuff he spews . . . .

Nice to see Hansen is still gonna get top-line minutes even though Moran got re-united with Jaff.

I have not been following prospect very closely up until the start of this year and I am wondering if you think Hansen has any chance of making the Canucks next year, or does he still need another year of condition in the AHL.

Toxic follows alot closer than I do but, from what I'm gathering, Scott Arniel has been grooming Hansen as a third line two-way threat. He says, as posted by itzabreeze (I think), Hansen possesses fantastic speed, good open ice vision and the ability to "push teams back" due to that speed. Hansen almost made the team this year, as he was the final cut, and he had great chemistry on a line with Kesler and Burrows. He was sent down because we wanted him to get top-end minutes in order to develop in the North American pro game. We didn't want him getting fourth line NHL minutes. Hansen has played most of the year on a line with Mike Keane, a prototypical third liner with vast NHL experience, in order to learn the defensive side of the pro game and has been elevated to the top line after taking Arniel's scratching in stride and learning from it. I'd say his play in the playoffs will go a long way towards finding out if he's NHL ready for next year. My guess is yes, at some point during '07-'08 but, for what it's worth, I'm only going on others' info and a couple Moose games I've seen so take it with a grain of salt.
QUOTE (Tripwyre)
Can't spell Kesler without Selke.

Slapyourself if you think Kesler will score 25+ goals, he just doesn't have the offensive skill.

GRABNER, RAHIMI COMING SOON: Forward Michael Grabner, the Vancouver Canucks first round selection (14th overall) in the 2006 NHL Entry Draft, and Swedish defenceman Daniel Rahimi, the Canucks' third rounder (82nd overall) in 2006, are expected to join the Moose next week.

Grabner, who had 39 goals and 55 points in 55 games with the Chiefs this season, managed only one assist in six post-season games but is known for his offensive upside.

Rahimi, who played for Bjorkloven in Sweden, is more of a stay-at-home defenceman that can play a physical game.

Both players need to sign amateur tryout offers before they report to Manitoba.

As for the Frozen Four...

Moose general manager Craig Heisinger plans to take in the action live and will be keeping a close eye on Boston College goalie Cory Schneider, the Canucks first round pick in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft.

Well it's official Grabner and Rahimi will both be joining the Manitoba Moose as soon as next week.

I never knew that he was the final cut, I didn't pay much attention to all the stuff going on at training camp last year, very interesting.

-MB thanks for posting that, I personally would have thought the Moose roster would be too full to accept 2 more players, but I guess I was wrong :P .

Looks like Vincent is getting closer to be a bust for the Nucks. He was released by Victoria and if Schneider turns pro after the Frozen Four the log jam ahead of him is thick

It already is a log jam, thats why i think hes been realeasd

Mac dogg with the moose and ellis for the fish.. they both have been playing too unreal to give vincent a turn

hes been more or less injured throughout the year.. i think he was put on IR

he had a really bad year.. all in all, i wouldn't be suprised if his career was over

although he still does have tonnes of potential...

anyone think that we could trade him at all?

edit: i'm not quite sure, but i think grabner had 1 assist during the entire series.. albiet the tips just suffocated him from what i heard

Thats because all the prospects seasons have either ended or they are in the playoffs and are in between match ups ( Like Bourdon ) .

Anyway... o_o Moose is now filled up with Canucks' prospects....

NEWS:

It is not yet known for the Brandon Wheat Kings (Simek) will face in the second round, it will either be Kootenay or the Hitman.

Cape Breton (Bourdon) will face Acadie-Bathurst in Round #2 in the QMJHL playoffs starting Friday. Acadie-Bathurst beat the Moncton Wildcats in Game #7 in double O.T to advance on to the 2nd round. Furthermore, Acadie-Bathurst was one of the worst teams in the QMJHL finishing 12th in the Reg. Season (out of 18th teams). They ended up with 77PTS in the Reg. Season, while Cape had 94 points. Keep in mind, Acadie-Bathurst just beat the #4 team in the first round, in double overtime in game 7, and should have a ton of confidence......Maybe.

Not that it's a big correction there Breeze but Acadia beat PEI Rockets. Moncton lost to Voracek18 points in 7 games) and the Halifax Mooseheads in OT.

Acadia's leading scorers in their series are:

Clendenning with 5 G 3 A in 7G
Perreault with 5 G 3 A in 7 G

Cape was 3-2-1 in reg season against them

Oh my god.. If Grabner and Rahimi join the Moose the team will be so stacked and dangerous.

What will be the lines? At least 2-3 forwards will sit out each night...
