Ive always said we need to use 2 picks this draft between the 3rd and 6th round to draft 2 Right Defensemen

our first 2 picks should be big bruising Centers

In a way I'm glad Victoriaville sucked in up in the first round of the playoffs. If Velliuex slipped into our grasp in the 2nd round that'd be sweet. He was a physical force in the prospects game and at 6'5....could be nice.

Watching Stamkos in the U-18, my god is he going to be a good player. 2008 Draft already looks good.

"Alexei Mikhnov, Alexei Kaigorodov, and Kirill Koltsov are the latest round of cuts for team Russia."

What does that mean? Does that mean that they are coming to North America or something?

given the final csb rankings and us most likley having a late 1st round rick and an early second round pick i think we should draft brandon sutter 1st and akim aliu 2nd

Akim Aliu has attitude issues, he has walked out on his team TWICE.

No thanks, we do not need prima donna headaches in our organization.

Semin was cut for a ridiculous reason, because he showed up a little late because there wasn't an earlier plane he could catch.

And Kovalev is a female dog.

We would be lucky in Sutter is available when we pick, methinks he will be highly sought after, keep in mind the rankings from 10-50 really mean jacksh*t as these guys won't be drafted where they are ranked (I.E an ISS 29 could go at 11th in the draft)

There are a lot of good centres that we should have a shot at, let us hope that other teams in the 10-25 have great needs for Dmen, Goalies, and Wingers.

It might be benificial if LA chooses our 2nd for next year....

I know! And Koltsov!

And then we get to draft centres with Nonis at the helm.

Here's a mock draft on NHL.com for the 1st 14 teams.

They had MTL taking Veillieux
EDM taking Kane
FLO taking Esposito (that would be two players that were ranked 1st a couple years prior to the draft then fell (Frolik) )

Wow, interesting mock draft, tons of Centers still available after that point

Logan MacMillan might be a nice pickup with our 1st. 6'1" 170+ lbs. in his 2nd year put up decent numbers, seems like a real meat-and-potatoes kind of guy, not flashy but solid and smart.

The more and more i think about it the less and less i like the idea of drafting Hamill or Moller, we have so many small forwards in the system we need size and build. Plus, Moller is being listed by everyone as a Right Winger, not a Center

Hamill. . . i dont know how i could deal with having a 'tip in the system

I don't see us getting a sniff at Hamil.

Yes Moller is listed as a RW, but he centred the Bruins 1st line in the playoffs. Methinks he is versitile.

If Hamill really isn't drafted in the top 15 and somehow miraculously drops to the Canucks spot, theres not question about drafting this kid. Yes, the Canucks do have a pressing need for a big center, but that can always be filled out in the second round. Would you rather have a big center and a possible second line forward or a possible first line forward and a big center with a little less upside?

We need a mix of size and speed and strength. Right now our forwards have speed and skill and no size and skill. I like Moller but for first rounder eh I'd pass. As for that mock draft and MTL taking Veillieux, that's just the guy thinking because he's french. I doubt they'd draft based on if he's from Quebec, ever since they were stripped of their first dibs on French talent way back when they've been all over the map in their choices.

Hamill was playing on a pretty stacked Everett lineup...

If he turned out to be like Gomez, Drury type player at center i cold careless how big he was, Hamill isn't making it to our level. He was the leading scorer in the WHL.....no way he slips to bottom 10.

To me, a Big center can be used in more situations than a small center

And my point was sort of moot since Hamill will prolly be taken by one of the 1st round losers

Sutter's going to Calgary, the fans will be parading down the street for him, and Darryl can;t turn his back on his own kin. In fact, he almost has his hands tied, there's no way he can pass on him.

Which leaves theese 1st round Centers:
Moller
Gillies (i believe Gillies will drop BIG TIME)
MacMillan
Ruzicka
Tyrell
Andersson
Eller
Backlund

Maybe some others i dont currently know about

Anyone know where I can find a scouting report for Brandon Sutter?.

- They say that everything happens for a reason - I'm still waiting - They say the good die young - I guess that's why you were chosen -

MacMillan
Moller
Eller
Andersson

Those are my top 4 of that group (i;d als take Gillies, buyt i think hell be taken before us)

However, if we took Andersson or Eller i;d say they need to come and either play CHL or NCAA hockey for a few years
