I think Our First round pick this upcoming entry draft should be Patrick White
"White, a 6-1, 190-pound forward from Grand Rapids, Minn., recently completed his senior season at Grand Rapids High School. A finalist for the 2007 Minnesota Mr. Hockey Award, White posted totals of 18-31--49 in 30 games to lead the Thunderhawks to second place at the Minnesota State High School Class AA Tournament, earning All-Tournament Team honors. He has also played 12 games with the Tri-City Storm of the USHL, scoring eight goals and one assist. Last season, White led Grand Rapids in scoring with 23-29--52 in 30 games to help the Thunderhawks to a 21-9-0 record and a runner-up finish at the Class AA State Tournament. With 5-1--6 in three games, he was named to the All-Tournament Team. For the season, White was named AP all-state honorable mention, Duluth News Tribune second team all-area and Iron Range all-conference. In 2004-05, he had 18-15--33 in 26 games to help Grand Rapids to a 15-11-0 record. White had 2-5--7 during his freshman season."

Well it's official our best possible draft position will be 22nd and our worst possible will be 26th. Current players ranked in that range are(by ISS http://www.tsn.ca/nh...0631&hubname=):

22. Hoeffel, Mike LW 6.01 175 L 4/9/1989 USA Under-18
23. MacLean, Brett LW 6.01.5 200 R 12/24/1988 Oshawa
24. Moller, Oscar C 5.10.5 182 R 1/22/1989 Chiliwack
25. Gratchev, Max LW 5.11 195 L 9/26/1988 Rimouski
26. MacMillan, Logan C 6.01 180 L 7/6/1989 Halifax

via rise and fall

Logan MacMillan - Halifax

This solid two-way forward has proven to scouts that he is the real deal. A player that earned his draft position as the year went on. MacMillan has been one of Halifax's best players down the stretch and has continued his strong play in the playoffs. He is gaining more confidence as he matures as a hockey player. His puck protection needs to improve and he has to get a little bit stronger, but that will come with maturity. Does everything asked of him.

Keven Veilleux - Victoriaville( he isn't in ISS top 30, but is 6'5 center)

Simply hasn't stepped up as ISS expected. Needs to play with more intensity. Needs to compete along the wall and use his size to his advantage. Skating is just average due to slow first couple of steps a tough player to contain once he gets moving. Has the size and skill to be a dominant forward, needs to use it on a more consistent basis.

Also for prospect sake Hansen should bring some much needed offensive jump to the Moose will all the playoff experience. Yes he should have had his head up but that was an elbow and wasn't his fault on the goal.

Thanks to mr7 for the sig

Since we got eliminated tonight, our first round draft pick should be around 21-24th overall.

I know it would be great if Raymond could be an impact player for the moose but boy it would be fantastic if he could be and impact player for the canucks. I know its asking alot of a young player but I think he has a much better chance than grabner because college players are usualy more NHL ready.

The forum has gone retarded.

They think we have cap room to go get high profile UFA's or trade for amazing young players.

The trade Schnieder threads came back in record time.

:B At least we know one team is happy. Winnipeg newspapers were practically praying for the Canucks to lose already to get Hansen and Smith back.

I'll be honest. After seeing a performance like I did tonight my first instinct is to do what we can to hold onto Luongo for 10 years which obviously would do nothing for Schneider. If the right deal came along ...

I'm glad the Moose survived the first round so the other players can come back and help.

Too bad about Hansen's rookie mistake tonight.

At least Hansen appeared to not be hurt by the hit. I mean it sucks to make the mistake, but I was glad to see he wasn't injured.

The Canuck season is over. Being realistic their chances were limited going in. The positives for the season were Lui in net and the solidification of their defense. Depth exists there now.

Nonis's challenge will be with the forwards. As most fans agree that center is the weakest part of the group I expect drafting in that area.

Moose callups who impressed and should make the Canucks next season are Edler and Hansen. Haven't seen Grabner or Raymond play. The games I saw Simek in, didn't particularly impress. Seemed to be a perimeter player with a shot. Still young.

DEFENSIVE DEPTH: The Moose will get another defenceman today in the form of Vancouver Canucks 2005 first-round draft pick Luc Bourdon.

Bourdon's Cape Breton Screaming Eagles were eliminated from the QMJHL playoffs on Tuesday, and he will be arriving in Winnipeg today.

He isn't expected to play this weekend, however.
