just welcoming back the trades forum...
I want Sutter/Maclean/Turris/Tyrell/Moller/Gagner to be drafted but it's gonna be hard for some of them
Go to the Trade Forum I'm sure there is a thread that states:
Naslund for Turris
Mo for Gagner
D.Sedin for Tyrell
H.Sedin for Moller
Bulis for McLean
and then we draft Sutter
Should be a good team
Turris Gagner Pyatt
Moller Sutter Grabner
Raymond Tyrell McLean
Burrows Linden Rypien

Thanks to mr7 for the sig

Carey price has really proven himself by carrying the bulldogs to 6 wins in the post season so far and a couple late season wins.
Not to mention WJC gold.

Sutter is said to be much more skilled offensively than his father and uncle(s) but with that defensive ability as well. I can see him being taken between 11-20 for sure.
6'3 185 pound RH Centre.
Akim Aliu has a big attitude problem, he has left his team twice (not a team player). I would leave him until the 3rd round.
Brett Maclean, keep in mind that this kid was the winger for one 16 year old phenom named John Tavares, but he seems to have good individual skill as well. Should be a 1st rounder/late 2nd
The thing you don't seem to understand is that we aren't just going to draft a player this year to play with the Sedins the following year, prospects take 2-3 seasons to get into the lineup unless they are a superstar #1 overall pick (Like Crosby, Nash, etc.)
Powerforwards typically take even longer to develop.
We need Centres (Rypien is our top Centre) and we need them to fill the (future) void of Morrison and Henrik. That and being strong down the middle never hurts.
We will not being getting the Sedins a linemate in this draft, we will find one in UFA or someone who emerges in camp (my money is on Hansen).
And Nationality should not matter, we need the best Centre available, we can get some gap toothed Canadian through free agency if need be.
Thanks for the info.....I guess we just hope Sutter makes it down that far in the draft. I agree with the center thing and drafting this year. I like the idea of Moller though....sounds like a guy that could fill in depth at center or even fill in with the Sedin's. I read in his scouting report that he plays a gritty game with the classic Swedish touch for cycling the puck in the corners so I'd like to see him here. I'd like to see Nonis use one of his second round picks for a player to groom as a wingmate for the Sedin's. It would be key to our team to have a young cheap player scoring goals on the Sedin line so the extra money that comes around once Morrison's and Naslund's contracts are expired is used to spend on putting together another quality scoring line. I don't really see any of the prospects we have filling in the roll on the Sedin line.
Nationality shouldn't matter but I think it does when it comes to the playoffs, old argument though. Just my opinion.

Nationality should not matter no....
my only argument to that is Hockey Night In Canada
Drafting Sutter would be nice but does anyone really think Calgary will pass him up?!

Well that's the thing. The people that are saying "draft a player for the Sedins". (Ihatetomatoes this isn't directed at you, just a rant)
How the mother trucker do we do that?. Unless we are drafting in the top three. NEWSFLASH: We ain't getting a player that has #1 line potential in this years draft. The sad part about this is from now until the draft people will repeat and repeat the same questions over and over again. Sure, a Grabner or Hansen, or a player with 2 legs could *play* with Sedins. But, will they have major sucess?, that is the question that remains.

Exactly, we won't draft a guy to be their linemate, because the by the time this years draftee is ready to play 1st line minutes, the Sedins will be 31.
I can see Sutter being drafted either by Cgy or by one of Edmonton's 3 1st rounders.

Bourdon debuts well
Rookie defenceman impresses in turns with Moose
by Tim Campbell, Winnipeg Free Press
THE Manitoba Moose figured there was no time like the present to get rookie defenceman Luc Bourdon's feet wet.
The 20-year-old first-round draft pick from 2005 has already played nine games in the NHL with the Vancouver Canucks, but Sunday night's Game 2 of the second-round playoff series was a different, pressure-filled situation.
"I knew it was going to be a bit of trial by fire in a pressure situation," said Moose head coach Scott Arniel. "I thought at times he handled himself well. I think the more he plays, the more he'll get comfortable and get used to the speed, which is the biggest thing coming from junior hockey.
"Early signs, we liked a lot of things he did."
Bourdon spent the season in the QMJHL and joined the Moose late last week when his Cape Breton team was eliminated from the playoffs.
"I didn't really expect to play tonight," Bourdon said after his first AHL game. "I think just being on the ice and getting a chance to live this is the best experience so far." The Canucks, of course, were here watching one of their top prospects.
"I like the way he's in control, he moves the puck hard and he can bump some guys," said Lorne Henning, the former NHL player and head coach who is Vancouver's director of player personnel. "I watched him at the World Junior when he played there. He skates well and moves the puck well and I thought he started this game very well."
Sunday night, Bourdon played about eight minutes, mostly with Dustin Wood, but was a minus-two because of a couple of rough spots.
He got caught a bit too far to the middle in the first period when Hamilton's Cory Urquhart scored on the right down the right wing, then got muscled away from the puck near the net when the Dogs got a third-period goal from Maxim Lapierre.
Henning said that Moose fans should be cautious at the start when it comes to expectations for Bourdon.
"I think it's always tough to come right in," Henning said. "Mason Raymond has come in, but he's a couple of years older and a little more experienced and he's been a good player. Luc will be, too.
"I think if you expect it of him in the first game, the first couple of games, well, he's just getting used to the pace and the speed of the game and he's going to be good, whether it's three of four games from now or tonight."
Bourdon said he was disappointed his first game ended in a loss, 3-2 to the Dogs, which put the Moose down 2-0 in the series. "It was great, obviously being part of a playoff series is always something fun but unfortunately we lost the game so I think you can always give a little more when you lose," he said. "I haven't been a part of this team but it's always fun to be around and at this level, it'll be something special.
"It's a little different, new system, new everything, but the guys are really good here, good people and they've really made me feel comfortable."
