I picked him in response to the DRAFT TURRIZ people, because his name sounded cool, and I noticed that he doesn't have that bad stats...and he's pretty big for his age...AND he's a center.

1st Round Pick (VAN)
2nd Round Pick (VAN/ANA/LA - One of the three second round picks was acquired from the Anaheim Ducks as compensation for the club signing Randy Carlyle (who was under contract with the Canucks) and advancing past the first round of the playoffs in 2006. An additional second round pick was acquired from the Los Angeles Kings on July 5th, 2006 along with a conditional draft pick in 2009 in exchange for G Dan Cloutier.)
5th Round Pick (VAN)
5th Round Pick (ATL - Acquired from the Atlanta Thrashers on June 14th, 2006 along with F Tommi Santala)
6th Round Pick (VAN)
7th Round Pick (VAN)

No, we don't have three. I think some are them to subject to Sopel/Smoke trades in either 2007 OR 2008. So I guess we won't know until draft day then which ones we have???????????

I'm just guessing here, but I guess the condition we traded Smolinski for was not met and it could've ended up with a later round draft in 2008? Just throwing it out there...

So?
Would you want your team filled with Peter Forsbergs/Ryan Keslers?
Btw, Kesler had a shatload of opportunity to play in offensive situation at the beginning of the season. In fact he almost average 20 minutes a game.

Moose @ Hamilton (AKA Edler, Hansen, Raymond, Grabtastic, Rahimi, Bourdon & Friends)
Game #4
Hamilton leads series 2-1
Edler:

Hansen:

Rahimi:

Raymond:

Grabby:

Bourdon:

My prediction: Moose win with Raymond getting a goal.

Bourdon has a very nice point shot, hpefully he gets some PP ice time.
Interesting to hear ur take on Grabner although he probably won't play much
Its amazing how much better Mayson Raymond plays as compared to Grabner. You really don't notice Grabner at all when he's out there.

Was this his first year in college?
Damn I was kind of hoping for Grabner to be an impact player right away in the AHL. I guess my expectations of him were so high considering the Canucks offered him a contract because they were so excited with his play during the preseason.
Oh well, he is still very young

People need to realize that Grabby is only getting about 5 min of ice time a game, Raymond is getting around 15 and PP time. If Grabner gets 5 shifts a game and Raymond gets god knows how many, it's pretty damn hard to read much into the game. Raymond is the more "balanced" player at the moment. Is Grabner less "talented" then Raymond in the long run....... I doubt that. I just hope that he will be given a fair shot once training camp starts in the fall. It's like people saying Bourdon is better then Edler. In the long run will Edler be better then Bourdon?, I highly doubt that. Is Edler more along in his development then Bourdon at the moment?, perhaps although that could be debated. Bourdon is a year younger then Edler so I would hope that he would be a more complete player at the moment.
