Does anyone have any good action shots of Kiril Koltsov?

Also does anyone have that pic of Shirokov doing that "Sssh" thing?

I have officially set foot on the "Draft Lars Eller band wagon" ;)

Quote

- He could be a late first rounder, I suppose, not having seen many of the top prospects outside of Sweden. IMO he is the top prospect playing in Sweden eligible for the 2007 NHL Entry Draft.

- He kind of reminds me of Henrik Zetterberg, although with little more speed IMO.

- Next season he will either 1) Play another junior league season in Sweden 2) Sign a youth contract with Frölunda's SEL team and play some SEL hockey, but mostly junior hockey 3) Go to the CHL like some successful Danes have been doing the past years

- As a player, Eller is very complete. Good speed, technical skills, very nice hockey sense and passes. Quite explosive with good puck control. One of those players that can actually be really dominant in a game. In the Swedish junior league he has very good chemistry with 89-born Swede Simon Hjalmarsson, who is usually the sniper on that line while Eller sets him up.

Jumps off the **Brandon Sutter bandwagon**.

It's official, I'll be pissed off if we draft Sutter. Call me crazy, but it took some time and I came back down to reality.

Stats wise, he is ok. Nothing great. Period. What concerns me the most is his skating. If his skating ability is already being questioned, and we all know the "new nhl" is all about fast, quick players. The Canucks already have enough grinders and medeocor skaters. He doesn't appear to have "much" finish, more of a playmaker, which the Canuck have enough of those...... and already a few in the system.

Looks around for a new draft eligible player's bandwagon. Oh look its Zach Hamill... **** you draft order!.

THE INJURY: Moose defenceman Alex Edler suffered what appeared to be a back or shoulder injury four-and-a-half minutes into the second period.
Edler was skating in on the rush when Bulldogs defenceman Ryan O'Byrne stepped up and drilled the Swedish rookie into the boards.

Edler went to the bench gingerly and was later taken to the Moose dressing room for evaluation.

He came back to the bench and went for a skate during a stoppage in play but didn't take another shift and wasn't out for the third period.

If Edler, who was listed as day-to-day by Arniel, is unable to play tonight, the Moose will find themselves in an emergency situation (three injuries) again.

That opens the door for Shaun Heshka to draw back in on defence and perhaps Brendan Brooks to replace Michael Grabner, who has been used sparingly up front.

Sergei Shirikov probably our best forward prospect right now? How the hell is he going to come over here and does he even have any interest of playing on the AHL farm team?

We drafted him BECAUSE when we interviewed him, he said he would come to the AHL to learn the NA game.

He is not our best forward prospect, at this point, its probably Raymond.

Doesn't he put up good numbers on a checking line in the Russian Elite League?

How does the league compare to the AHL? Is the AHL lower skill level or vice versa?

Russian League is above the AHL IMO

He was the assistant captain of CSKA, which is hands down the greatest hockey club in international ice-hockey history, he was their single-best playoff performer and was a game-breaker

Raymond is my #1 Prospect up front, then Shirokov, then Grabner, then Hansen, then Simek

Like my new sig?

Is Shirokov under contract in the Russian League, and would he have to go through the same court/spectacle Evgeni Malkin had to?

Thanks chiklets

You've inspired me also. I've decided to add a beautiful piece that the genius JonnyBCYa wrote. :P

He walked right into that didn't he....

I really hope Sergei Shirokov comes over. I want another Russian player on the Canucks.
