From Nonis' 1040 Interview.

Raymond: Needs to become a man, gain some weight, thinks he will be a top 6 forward in the near future

Grabner: Needs to get stronger.

There will be injuries and call-ups. When travelling it is normal to carry an extra defenseman or, occasionally, forward.

Rakhshani, Mark Arcobello (undrafted), Aaron Palushaj (STL), Tyler Ruegsegger (TOR) and Patrick White (VAN) were among the forwards that may have step up a little bit more than the rest of the group.

So... is that supposed to mean that these 5 guys have looked better than the rest or that they need to step up their game? The wording seems a bit confusing to me.

Yeah thats what I figured.

Good for White, hopefully he makes the team. With O'Brien leaving UMN White should have a much better chance at making an impact as a freshman. The whole situation with O'Brien seems a bit weird thought, because from what I've been reading he asked the coaching staff at the end of last season if he could switch back to playing D. I'm thinking this may have been the reason why the Senators wanted to make a move and get him into the CHL. Playing time may not have been the real issue, I'm sure the Sens just wanted O'Brien to play Center.

And the fans over at UMN seem to be really excited about White playing next season. The few that have seen him play call him a "true center" and that they love his intensity. At least we don't have to worry about this guy being conservative and lazy. If he doesnt turn out to be the sniper down the road at least he has the passion and drive to become a solid 3rd or 4th liner.

Hockeys Future has this info on their site. Interesting item in weaknesses, ENIGMATIC=means unknown, mysterious. Which really means- HF hasnt or doesnt want to do the work to find out about theses guys. So now we know HF doesnt like to backcheck-lazy!!!!!!! As well they could maybe spell check their site, can you say credibility.

Organizational Depth Chart

Team Strenghts:
1 Strong between the pipes
2 High quantity of 3rd and 4th line forwards
3 Good depth of two-way defensemen

Team Weaknesses:
1 Not a lot of NHL ready prospects
2 Lack of forward prospects with top end skill
3 Many enigmatic prospects in system

Found this tidbit about Kablukov on HF. It's pretty cool how we get to see him play 8 times. At least this way we know that he actually exists and Delnorme didnt just make him up so we could waste another late rounder on some crazy Russian.

Quote

Do not expect much offensively from the rest of the team, though the main reason Kablukov is present is for young center's face-off skills and two-way abilities. The Vancouver Canucks prospect will provide Russia that hard-working element and a player who can be used in most situations - whether it is shorthanded or on the power play. He has impressed at both ends of the ice and it is his defensive game that will keep him on the roster.
