Hes just entering his freshman year at college.

So he could get his degree and go for 4 years (I hope not)

Or he could forego the rest of his college years after 1-3 years.

I'd hope for 2 years of NCAA hockey, 1 AHL before NHL.

What are those pictures from btw Toxic?

However, some universities stream their games online for free (UND), so i'll check every night whether or not the teams games vs Minnesota are going to be streamed over ze interweb

Moose Notes:

Training camp - Day 1

Intrasquad highlights: Team White prevailed in the first intrasquad game, 4-3 over Team Black. Centre Ash Goldie scored two goals while defenceman Jason Dest and winger Peder Skinner had White markers. Daniel Rahimi, Colin Sinclair and Danny Groulx scored for losing Black.

* What the coach saw: Beyond Goldie's two-goal game, Moose coach Scott Arniel saw much that was predictable on Monday. Said Arniel: "There were some different guys who made some real good offensive plays. I liked the way (Alex) Bolduc skated. Keaner (Mike Keane) looked like his veteran self out there. And with some young guys I hadn't seen before, there were some things I liked."

* What you need to know: A feeling-out first day on the ice produced no scraps. Expect competition for the few jobs the Moose may have open to intensify leading up to the first of three exhibition games on Wednesday night in Steinbach against the U of M Bisons.

* Daily shipment: Defenceman Daniel Rahimi, re-assigned by Vancouver on Sunday, was on the ice here Monday, as was former Brandon Wheat Kings star Mark Derlago, who was added on a training-camp tryout.

Derlego led the WHL in goals last year. I remember on an end of the year interview Arniel went on the record that he personally believed that Derlego did not have the foot Speed to succeed at the next level. I would be interested to see if he can impress in the upcoming weeks.

Oh wow, I thought Derlago was already drafted?

Could be a nice pick-up if he can work on his skating, nice little project though.

Rahimi scoring?!?!? ZOMG.

I don't know much about NCAA players who've made it to the NHL. Is that the most optimistic time frame for White ? Has any player made the jump from college hockey sooner than that before ? Granted 3 years isn't bad i'm just unrealistic and impatient :D

2-3 years for White is correct

Some do spend less time, but thats because they're Euros and come over later

Ah, alright thanks for clearing that up. Lot's of things to be looking forward to in Vancouver in 2010-2011. Here's to hoping our young players stay up with the big club a bit longer as I can't follow the Moose as readily ^_^ I'm sure all the guys on here who follow the Moose will enjoy a great season, and thanks in advance for keeping us up to date.
