Butcher had 1 assist this weekend, Fredheim had no points

Toxic, any idea on what kind of ice time Butcher is getting this year?

I don't know if this has been brought up, but does anyone else think that its important for the moose to win and win consitantly so our prospects learn how to win and not just how to rack up points. I'm not saying they're losing or that our prospects are playing for themselves, quite the oppisite really. I am very exited about the fact that the moose have a good team and am hoping that the kids will grow, not just into good players (or great) but that they learn how to play with eachother and how to win as a team.

Of course winning helps, and being in a winning environment does help the moral around the team. But the reality is it isn't always going to be fluffy white clouds and rainbows everyday. The kids do need to learn how to be accountable and dig deep when adversity hits them.

The thing is that adversity is only good if they find a way through, if they face adversity and learn to just accept defeat than that doesn't help at all. or if they get into the habbit of losing from being in a losing environment. personaly i would take a winning team first (no team has ever won anything without facing adversity at some point anyway)

Well, you'll barely see a time where a team just gives up after facing a bit of adversity

Really nice to see that THREE, count it THREE, of our prospects are in the top 20 for Rookie scoring in the AHL.

Bourdon outscoring the likes of: Lee, Letang, Ryan, Skille (all from his draft year)

Labrie with 3G 3G in 7GP, looking like a pretty good pickup so far.

Grabner outscoring Trevor Lewis and Chris Stewart right now (they went 2 and 3 spots behind Grabner in 2006, a lot of complaints that we didn't take Stewart (6PG 1A -3))

Surprised Skille is having an average start points-wise considering his high draft status. Then again he put up mediocre numbers in College. Supposedly he was power forward potential.

Nice to see Grabner doing well in comparison with the others. I wanted Chris Stewart and think he would have fit this team well, but Grabner definitely does have some big time potential.

I'm not trying to say that they would just give up, but i think its still more of a positive experience for there development to win than lose.

Winning and losing are habbits, which habbit would you wan't our prospects to fall into?

besides like i said before, being part of a winning environment is different than everything being perfect (breeze), because no team has ever won anything without facing adversity

I would think that since AV said that they would atleast be calling one D up that itz got to be Luc. He is the Moose #1 defenseman right now and is also playing very confident.

Good Luck kid

In other news..... Coulombe's been sent to the Moose to replace Bourdon for the time being.

This board has pretty much gone to sh*t.

Absoloute panic mode.

Everyone just giving up and suggesting that either we A: trade all of our prospects away to get impact players for the year or

B: Go into complete rebuild and purposely tank to get Steven Stamkos.

Its just idiotic, it was exactly like this last year too.

agreed, they have Bourdon on a one game leash I think he will do fine if not impress. He's done well in the AHL, give him some roll minutes like on the PP and it should be great for his development. I'm one who thinks Bourdon will be a far superior pick to Allen like everyone else seems to be comparing him too.

Thanks to mr7 for the sig
