Thanks Tim, by the way does anyone here think Bliznak will make it to the NHL (Giants homerism aside)?

Nope. He's not big or talented enough. I think at best he's an AHL lifer.

I honestly believe his potential is top nine on an AHL team.

I'd have to see how he fares in the AHL (if he makes the cut next year) before writing him off.

Not all Vancouver Giants will become superstar players, the homerism for those players on the boards is ridiculous.

Gendur and Ellington not in the line-up tonight (Everett is playing)

Perhaps they were rested due to a game last night?

Bliznak with an assist so far.

Doubt it, Gendur was out of the game last night as well

WTH are you talking about? Do a little reading before posting next time. The quote I cited specifically talked about Hansen and Raymond's player profile. My god man!!

Yeah, I understand what the thing you quoted was talking about, but I don't understand how it related to your comment ...

Earlier someone had posted that a new player profile for Jannik Hanse had been added on tsn.ca. I told him ["Hansen's had been up for a couple months now, Raymond's too."]

Sam Constantino talked about the prospects during the 2nd period intermission during the CGY game.

Caught the last couple.

Said Canucks believe Genoway has a future in the NHL.

Said Tambellini feels that Simek is NHL ready right now.

Talked about how another team was high on Grabner, and they didn't want to pass on him.

High on Genoway? Interesting, cruddy year last season, terrific one this season
Simek NHL ready? Questionable
I believe Colorado was the team high on Grabby

Yeah, I heard Colorado wanted Grabner too.

Simek, very questionable indeed.

Cosintino was saying tambellini thinks that Simek is NHL ready in terms of his play, skill and awareness in the offensive zone and that he still needs some polishing in the deffensive side of the rink. He said the problem with Simek deffensivly is not Simeks effort but he just needs some experiance at the AHL level. He also said that Simek needs to play with more of a consistant effort deffensivly.

LOL, I heard that as well. Cosintino said Simek was a "strange character". Gee, that came out of knowhere eh?.

Moving on.

It was interesting to hear that he believes Simek has NHL skill RIGHT NOW. It's nice to see the prospects getting alot of ice time on the farm right now.

lol i though you were going to make another "cough, cough" joke!

I was actually very suprised and extremely exitited to hear that about Simekl. We just got to hope arniel can teach this kid some deffense and we may have a top six NHL player some day!

I have to agree with Cosantino's take on Simek. Some of his body positioning puck protection moves and offensive flare actually reminds me of a poor-man's Forsberg. He's only lacking in the mental aspect of the game, if you ask me. He's alot like Bourdon in that regard.

Leave him in the AHL as long as possible until he's blowin' up offensively and oozing confidence.

Can't spell Kesler without Selke.

Slapyourself if you think Kesler will score 25+ goals, he just doesn't have the offensive skill.

Another great late round pick.

Now if only Shirokov comes over to North America....then we'd have two solid 6th rounders.

Why did he go so late in the draft?. Was there anything other then the "Will he come over to NA"??????? Euro tag.

Simek or Shirokov?

Cause Shirokov was a much older player in that draft and had not put up stupendous numbers, coupled with the lack of a Russia/NA transfer agreement.

Simek probably because of playing in a non-traditional hockey country, that being Switzerland.

He started the year on the 3rd line with Lucia and Bostrom.

Last game they played he was Centering the 4th line.

3/4th lines play very limited minutes though.
