Minnesota does have a good reputation as one of the better hockey programs in the NCAA (4-4 Start does not mirror that reputation so far)

The plan for White is to work his way to increased minutes over the course of his college career (Which I hope lasts no more than 2 seasons)

But, If he does not get an increase in icetime next year (I.E he is toiling on the 3rd or 4th line), he should definitly consider joining the Seatlle Thunderbirds of the WHL where he would surely get ice time in all situations and become more aclimatized to an NHL game load and where we could keep close tabs on him and even watch him in person. This is only if they don't increase his ice time in the next 12 months.

I'm no way bashing the NCAA as it did wonders for Raymond and many other offensive players. Just as long as he doesn't get stuck in a 3rd-4th line roll for too long. We'll just have to wait and see I guess. Though seems like nobody on UM is doing any scoring

Thanks to mr7 for the sig

Remember, Seattle has to retain his rights, they could easily release them anytime. In which case he'd have to sign with another CHL team

Would there be an advantage to releasing his rights though?

Is there a limit on the number of players you can own the rights to?

Sigh.

Ellington and Gendur not in the lineup again for Everett.

Must be injuries.

ok so i went to the moose game last night and sat in the second row! here are my thoughts

Grabner

This kid has got some serious speed and he knows how to use it. he probaly beat his man down the left wing 3-4 times in this game. ( i know he is a right wing but thats just how it worked out) Grabner was always going to the dirty areas and was taking punishment to try and score a goal. his effort in terms of getting back on deffense was good actually, his backchek actually negated the speed of the admirals hedding into the zone on multipal occasions. Grabner was not amazing but i realy liked and was incouraged by his willingness to do the little things to win hockey games

Simek

Showed some decent hussel at times but he seems to drift in and out of the game. He has some crazy dangles and made at least one of the admiral deffenders look silly.

Schnieder

I like his latterel movements, he fights through screens well and is usualy prety calm. On the downside he still stays to far back in his net sometimes and he occasionally will overcommit to the shooter. You can tell that he is feeling the split second difference in speed between college and the A.

Raymond

I love the way this kid plays. Allways using his speed and was all over the ice. he sometimes usues his speed a little to much on the breakout though. He will be flying down the wing (open) and the deffensman will hit him with a pass that seems like suicide. he needs to vary what he does when he recieves a pass down the wing, because he almost allways goes along the boards instead of cutting to the inside.

Labrie

Did not really impress. His skating is deffinatly an issue. Liked how he has a willingness to go the net. He reminds me of pyatt alot exept that he likes to hit

CA Messier with O points and -1 tonight in a loss, he didn't play last night which was too bad since Acadia put up 8 goals.

Ellington, Gendur (if they play) are in Spokane tonight

Thanks to mr7 for the sig

Butcher with his 1st goal in is collegiate carrer, along with an assist, it's turning into a good year for him if he continues this, a goal and what 5 assists on that team is like 2 and 10 on any other

EDIT: Butcher's was the OT winner
