Matt Butcher is putting up an excellent 2nd NCAA season.

16GP 1G 9A 10pt

(4pts in 40GP last year)

I hope he continues to develop, would be wonderful if he became a diamond in the rough.

Moar drafts!!!! I would seriously sometimes trade in Christmas for a draft. Cause to me they are one in the same. It really sounds worse than it is.

Just thought I'd show how Grabner is doing compared the rest of the 2006 draft year, as you can see all the blue chip prospects at the top are in the NHL. Grabner is playing at higher level of competion(AHL) than most players near his draft position, though seems like so many other teams give their players at least a taste at the NHL level. Hope he continues to score so he gets that chance sooner than later.

15 points in 23 games in the AHL for Grabner is quite good. I'm happy with that :D

After over a month-long hiatus, i'm returning to do updates on Canucks.com and some stories, working on the first one of the year, should be a good read. Once the story is done i want to do more work on the front page

Any article where there's a comparison between Brandon Reid and Charlie Conway should be a winner ;)

Schneider has surprised me with his very slow start to the season. I thought for awhile it was just going to be a few games, looks like Clarke needs more than a few days with him to get his confidence back.

Needs to have a few games with less than 3 goals against.

Moose fans seem to be comparing his performances to Ellis of last year, which I see as a disappointment.

It is dissapionting but somehow not suprising. I mean the kid is right out of college, he's had family issues, and for god sakes he has to live in winterpeg like me! I would say that we should start to look at his preformance at just after the halfway mark. just my opinion!

I wasn't saying that was my opinion of him, I was just reading their board and they are comparing him to Auld and Ellis. This is Moose fans though, they always seem to forget AHL is a developmental league not a championship league

I was at the game last night vs Pittsburgh, and I noticed that Edler really stood out. At the start I noticed he seemed to have a few skating issues (he fell down, and stumbled a few times behind the play), but he was good when it counted. He made some nice moves on the line (aside from a few bad bounces), and he let a few howitzers from the point off. I was also impressed with his physical game. He belted Ruutu, rubbed out Malkin, and even knocked down Laraque. It's good to see him consistently improving his game.
