Yeah, I saw him the WJHC camp invite roster, (I think that was it) noticed his birth year and looked him up. Definitely a player to keep an eye on for sure for the 2011 draft.

Michael Funk has been able to help fill that void so far pulling double duty as a defenceman and a sniper. Funk is tied for third in team scoring through 16 games with a goal and six assists; the 23-year-old Abbotsford native leads the team in helpers and is certainly making the most of a second chance to shine.
