[quote="Alexander Ovechkin"]Mciver is doing great in the AHL. Yeah he might not be a good golie in the NHL but is beter then Sabourin. (IMO)

He probably confused McIver with Macintyre(sp?).

No doubt. I shudder everytime I flashback to him playing an NHL game for us. Only thing better than this is if he was assigned to the Calgary Flames. This is a close #2.

Can't spell Kesler without Selke.

Slapyourself if you think Kesler will score 25+ goals, he just doesn't have the offensive skill.

Yeah it will be better for him. He was spending most games up in the pressbox so if anything he'll get more playing time.

I love it how our ECHL affiliate is Victoria. Makes everything so much easier.

Koltsov contributes 'just' two points to 17-1 rout

It's not unusual that some strange things happen in the Russian Super League, and the current performance of Krilja Moscow is the latest contribution to that somewhat sad chapter.

Last week, Krilja lost at home against Khimik by a score of 1-13, and Canuck draftee Ilya Krikunov used that thrashing to add four points to his season total.

But if you think that it can't get even more humiliating, think again.

On Saturday, Krilja set a new futility mark by losing 1-17 in front of their home crowd against Omsk.

Unlike Krikunov, rearguard Kirill Koltsov didn't use the whipping of the league sad sack to significantly bolster his point total, collecting just two points.
Koltsov assisted on Omsk's first goal with 5:28 gone by in the first period, and then closed out the scoring with 2:02 left in the game with his second shorthander of the season.
With two games left in the regular season, Koltsov currently stops at nine goals, 26 assists, and 44 PIM in 48 games.

Artem Chubarov couldn't participate in the onslaught, missing his 14th consecutive game with a knee injury.

Winger Ilya Krikunov scored his sixth power play goal of the season in Khimik's 3-4 loss at Novokuznetsk, a goal which certainly has more value than Koltsov's two points, because it actually was scored in a real competition.
Krikunov now has eight goals, nine assists, and 50 PIM in 46 contests.

Those games sure sound crazy!

Krikunov and Danielsson are the kind of players that could be great AHL'ers. You know, the 20-40 goal guys that suck in the NHL. I almost wish they would come over, just to help the Moose
