Thats 5 goals in 2 games since the benching.

Quick, someone give Hansen Grabner's cell #.

I think that Hansen might be injured, haven't looked into it yet.

Somebody on the Moose board said that he has the flu. Hopefully it's just that. I'd rather him miss a few games with the flu than have an injury or be a healthy scratch two games in a row.

Yeah I edited that post after I went to the moose boards.

Most of the Moose posters say that he is in Arniel's doghouse too.

Edit: They are saying Flu on the Moose boards.

Hmph. Unless it's the avian, that's hardly an excuse for his excessive wilt-job since the "bad cop" Arniel head game.

Spokane 4
Seattle 5 (OT)
2/16/2007

In the last regular season meeting between the two teams, the Spokane Chiefs, despite Michael Grabner’s hat trick, lost to the Seattle Thunderbirds 5-4 in overtime.
Grabner’s third goal in two games gave the Chiefs a 1-0 lead 3:36 into the game. Grabner scored on a power play after being run head first into the boards by Seattle’s Radek Meidl, which drew just a two minute minor penalty. Sean Zimmerman and Stephane Lenoski assisted on the goal. The hit by Meidl seemed to fire up Grabner as he converted an Adam Hobson feed for his 30th goal of the season and second of the night at 14:59 of the first. Jared Spurgeon also assisted on Grabner’s tally that gave the Chiefs a 2-0 lead after one.
Grabner would get his fifth hat trick of his career with a 5 on 3 power play at 2:36 of the second period as he put home a David Rutherford feed. Mitch Wahl picked up an assist on Grabner’s hat trick goal. Wahl would notch his second assist of the period as his feed from the point was redirected by Judd Blackwater for his 11th goal of the year. Blackwater’s power play goal was also assisted by Spurgeon, who also notched his second helper of the night. Seattle would score their first goal of the game with 2.8 seconds left in the second on a Thomas Hickey 5 on 3 power play goal.
Seattle would draw within 4-3 on two power play goals early in the third period as Hickey got his second of the game 20 seconds into the period, then Bud Holloway scored a 5 on 3 power play goal at 2:42 of the third. Prab Rai would then force overtime with just 8 seconds left in regulation. Aaron Gagnon would win the game for Seattle with a backhander at 3:09 of overtime.
The Chiefs will open a 4 game homestand Saturday night when they entertain the Kootenay Ice at 8:30pm. The game is starting late due to the Gonzaga basketball game at 3pm at the Spokane Arena.

Did anyone find video of Grabners goal's last night?

- They say that everything happens for a reason - I'm still waiting - They say the good die young - I guess that's why you were chosen -

Maybe he is talking about Meidl. Whether it was accidental or not(doubt it) a hit from behind is a cheapshot. *...

Nononono, he's not a top 2 defender, he's the best Right defender we have, LD and RD are very different, we have good LD's and no great RD's

Fredheim was drafted by the canucks in 05. He was 1 of the most heavily recruited d-men out of american High School. An offensive defense man with a hard slap shot he's in his freshman year at CC. So looking over his stats i'm willing not to judge because he is in his freshman year. However, he is also 19 and should be doing better

Well he did have 4 shots and 6 hits so it's not like he's playing horrible. It's always hard to adjust to a new team especially offensively for a D. Powerplays are different and you have to get used to different players. Hopefully the points will come soon.

Hi, I'm wondering where does Bourdon rank in terms of potential among the defencemen in his draft class.

Jack Johnson
Brian Lee
Luc Bourdon
Marc Staal
Sasha Pokuluk
Ryan Parent
M E Vlasic

Above are some of the notable defencemen from the 05 draft (in order drafted).

From that list, only Vlasic is playing in the NHL right now. However, I think that J J will ultimately turn out to be the best from that list.

With the Forsberg trade, I've heard some people say that Parent>Bourdon. Is that really true?

I was wondering a few things. I heard that that prospect Rahimi is supposed to be really good. Anyone know what kind of a Defenceman he is? I assume he is a hard-nosed kind but I wasn't sure. And also, who do you guys think is out top prospect? If the canucks had to lose all but one of our prospects who would you guys keep?

I would either keep Schneider but seeing that we have Luongo I would pass, Koltsov has the most promise but he may never come to NA or play for us so I would go with Grabner, he can score and we need scoring.
