6 million for Naslund -- 20 goal player at best now
almost 6 million combined for sedins -- combined -13 in playoffs
3.5 million for Morrison -- lol
1.9 million for Kesler -- this will probably change
Pyatt wants more
With these outrageous contracts there's a LOT of shuffling to do before Vancouver becomes a contender, as this playoff year proved Luongo can do everything but score a goal, which he almost did do against Dallas, to bad the team couldn't help him out a bit.

It's funny you hate on Ohlund, because the rest of the NHL thinks he's one of the most underrated defencemen. Do you know something the rest of the NHL doesn't?

Hup Sven! Drie Goud, je kunt het doen!

I guess we'll disregard everything else they did this season then.
The Sedins at this price are a steal, any idiot could see that. This is their first Play-offs as a #1 line, they'll learn from this and move on next season.
Otherwise I feel this team is really on the rise as well, and that with a couple of key offensive upgrades we'll be challenging for the Cup in the upcoming seasons. Hopefully our gritty players (ie: Cooke, Kesler, Bieksa) stay healthy next season too.

You forgot to mention how this team sucks because it's full of "Euros" and how we should get rid of every single one of them because they lack heart and emotion.

Dude it's the same logic that evolves into his hate for Naslund.

Great, then lets trade Ohlund for some young offensive players...maybe Nathan Horton? And completely hose another team.

This year we went from not making the playoffs to having a legit chance to make the conference finals. If we gel a little more and keep some key role-players things could look better for next year. So don't toss your car flags just yet....

There is no reason to think Nonis won't make the right moves to improve our team ... I trust he will have a championship level team the nexy 1-3 years.

The 07-08 nucks will be healthier (i hope), more experienced and hungry. As long as Lou stays a canuck, we will keep getting better.
PS Alfredo: I wish I had the guts to do that to my apartment. You are REALLY lucky.

How do you know he's only a 20 goal player at best, this was his first year in 5 years that he didn't score 30 goals or more. Just because he didn't get 30 this year and struggled doesn't mean he can't do it again, we'll have to wait and see before we can make that judgment. Look at sellane, had a crap year in colorad and got like 32 points, then he becomes a 90 point player again with great linemates. If we pick up a good winger for naslund, his goal production and point production will go up. But it was one really bad year, every professional has them, lets way to see what happens next year, that will tell the story.

I won't forget the goal that disqualified us from the playoffs. I shall remember it for a long time.
We were so unlucky during the series... the burrows delay of game penalty in game 4, the penalty that lead to morrow's goal in game 5 vs dallas (if that never happend we would have won in 5 and been much healthier for our battle vs anaheim, the interference call that never was - and lead to the first anaheim goal in game 5 ... and the ever so flukey goal that beat luongo to send us packing... all these events of bad luck will have to be balanced out by streaks of good luck in the next playoffs.
The canucks will learn from this playoff and make the right move to fix their current problems - and on top of that they will have this additional good luck from the built up karma - this leads me to believe strongly that our Canucks will be back in the playoffs and be back with a vengence. The fact that they didnt accomplish anything significant in the post season will drive them to improve and better their performance.
Watch out for Luongo, because he will only get better. If you thought he was good, watch out because he's just warming up. He's no where near his peak. Just think about the time Brodeour hit hit peak (right about now!).
Anyways... I got on a tangent there ...
As I was saying before, I will never forget this goal ... I was not crushed or heartbroken when it happend. I actually felt a feeling of comfort ... that we have such a strong future ahead of us.... we're only a few tweeks away from having an elite team.
I honestly think Naslund is playing hurt, I think he should take some time off and get better once and for all ... he should go through the proper rehab program like teemu selanne did during the lock out. Naslund should go on Injury Reserve for the next season until he is 100%. If he Nazzy did that then the Canucks would have a lot of free cap room. While Nazz is out in IR, someone else could be captain (mitchell?bieksa?luongo???) and when nazzy is better he can resign with van for a one year 2 million contract and be back healthy and not have the burden of the captaincy.
That was another tanget there but I hope you get the gist of my point.
