Bang Bang Boogie
Did anyone see Eli Manning get that huge gash on his head? He bumps into Brandon Jacobs after the snap, then Calvin Pace hits him from behind.

Innovative
A few more weeks till it begins. Anyone going to any games out of town this year? I'll probably catch a game in Seattle and probably California.
ChelseaFC
Hoping to go down to Seattle for the Giants/Seahawks game. That is pretty much the only Seahawks home game I like.

Madness
Apparently Favre will play this season. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2010/08/17/all-signs-point-to-brett-favre-announcing-return-tuesday/ There's just something about August 17th that Brett Favre must like. (Either that, or Jared Allen did a great job tying Favre up.) Exactly one year from the day Brad Childress first chauffeured Favre to the Minnesota Vikings facility, there are multiple indications that Favre has finally decided to return to the team for the 2010 season. Scott Hanson of NFL Network reports that Favre is on a jet heading north to Minnesota. We haven't confirmed that news, but we can repeat an email sent out from Brett Favre's official website. The email says: "Stay tuned for breaking news from the Minnesota Vikings today on Brett Favre's possible return. Visit the Vikings.com and Officialbrettfavre.com for more information." Was there ever any doubt? UPDATE: The Minneapolis Star-Tribune confirms Favre is on a flight to Minnesota. Although this gives him extra time to change his mind. UPDATE II: Jay Glazer of FOX reports that Favre told the trio of Vikings who came to persuade him to return that he is "back in" and he's on a plane to Minnesota now. Glazer notes Favre hasn't told the team anything yet and could always change his mind.
Innovative
^No surprise there. Everyone knew he'd be back. Apparently 3 veteran Vikes players flew down to Mississippi and convinced him to come back. Vikes got the NFC if they can stay healthy.

Madness
Should be an interesting division. Vikings vs Packers. Rodgers vs Favre. Those will be good games this season. Rodgers has been improving each season and I still think the Pack will win the division. Vikings will be a wild card.
Madness
Vikings wide receiver Percy Harvin collapsed at the team’s Winter Park facility Thursday while watching practice and was loaded into an ambulance according to Chip Scoggins of the Minneapolis Star Tribune. Harvin, who has suffered from severe migraines, was not on the field for the start of practice. He was seen talking to head athletic trainer Eric Sugarman outside the locker room at Winter Park and then jogged onto the field to watch practice. A few minutes later, Harvin vomited and then fell to the ground. Practice continued as the team’s medical staff tended to him. After about 10 minutes, a police car and ambulance from the Hennepin County Medical Center arrived and EMTs tended to Harvin as practice stopped and players watched. Madness
Apparently there was only 20,000 at the Bills-Colts game in Toronto. I was debating on going but was busy. The effort to regionalize the Buffalo Bills, and thus to keep them in Western New York, possibly isn't working as well as the team had planned. Thursday night's game between the Colts and the Bills reportedly was played before roughly 20,000 fans, according to Richard Griffin of the Toronto Star. Even the announced attendance of 39,583 wasn't all that impressive. Thursday's game, the fourth of an eight-game Toronto series, represented the first time fewer than 40,000 showed up for the game, based on official numbers. The 2008 debut, a preseason contest between the Bills and the Steelers, produced an official attendance of 48,434. A regular-season game that year against the Dolphins churned out an official attendance figure of 52,134. Last year's Thursday night game against the Jets on NFL Network produced an official number of 51,567. This year, the Bills host the Bears in Toronto on November 7. It remains to be seen whether and to what extent any of the 53,000 seats will be filled with something other than air. Making Thursday's attendance figures more troubling is the fact that the game featured a chance for a Canadian audience to see Peyton Manning and the Colts. If the trend isn't reversed, the apparent plan to keep the Bills viable in Buffalo by playing some of the games before a packed house in Toronto could have to be scuttled -- which would put the Bills right back in the mix of teams that may move to Los Angeles. Sultan of Sarcasm
If my Pats were going to be north of the border, I'd go in a heartbeat. I try to get to Gilette Stadium whenever I can, but I'd love to see them in TO.
