RO8!!
Charlie Casserly on NFL network was saying that apparently one team came down to 2 players in the 1st round they wanted and one of them was Rueben Randle, our 2nd round pick last pick of round number 2, so I'm tempted to check teams that didn't pick in the 2nd round because technically if it came to 2 players they would have picked him in the 2nd as our pick was last but they didn't so they must not have had a 2nd rounder. RO8!!
Randle is a beast. 'Draft grades' have to be the stupidest thing in sports. It's like giving a report card to students on the first day of class...
JollyJet
I agree but at least a lot of the analysts realize this and just do it for talking points on shows/radio. Did you watch Randle? And if so do you have any insights on his play?
RO8!!
No I know..but people actually put value into them. What's the point? I know a few things...he was top 5 prospects in the country coming out of high school. He'll be a great vertical threat, tall and big but could stand to gain a few pounds. Rarely ever saw him drop balls that a lot of LSU recievers had trouble with. Good hands for sure. And you know he played against top talent in the SEC...and he's a good run blocker too. JollyJet
I have heard the QB play at LSU was pretty rough too so that has lead to his dropping as there wasn't a huge sample size. Yeah surprised we went skill positions with the 1st 2 picks but Randle should hopefully help replace Manningham while Wilson adds a change of pace to Ahmad Bradshaw, plus with AB's injury problems with his feet it is nice to have a 1st round insurance policy. I'm stoked for the season especially with the Canucks knocked out now.
The Sedin's 6th Sense
Hasn't this got me pumped up for the upcoming Patriots season! Draft: The Patriots traded up in the first round not once but twice, obtaining DE/OLB Chandler Jones and LB Dont'a Hightower. Belichick's new-look front seven also includes third-round DE Jake Bequette. Second-rounder Tavon Wilson could start immediately at safety. Oh, and by the way, CB Alfonzo Dennard was a steal in the seventh. Figures.
The Sedin's 6th Sense
Also, stoked for Pats signing DE Trevor Scott - Guys a beast! Didn't have a sack all of last year, but has had success earlier in his career, is still quite young (27), and has room to succeed and get better. Like Welker, guy used to burn us when he played against us (had 2 sacks in one game in his rookie year against the Pats), and hopefully, he can pick up the pace sacks wise again. .....Just because he hasn't gotten a sack in a while doesn't mean he sucks btw, guy can put lots of pressure on defenses and makes/used to make LOTS of tackles! ....Just had a bad season last year in general, but seeing his past history and seeing he's done lots of damage before, hoping he can bring it here too http://espn.go.com/n...03/trevor-scott
RO8!!
Yeah we signed DT Shaun Rodgers before the draft, similar situation, guy used to be pretty good haven't heard a lot out of him last few seasons but could be an excellent depth signing for us shoring up the defensive line in case of a rash of injuries again like last season. Champions of Nothing
People make mistakes and they learn from them...I'm sure we all have and I'm a firm believer of a second chance. Its one thing to keep doing it, but he did one bad thing, omg lol. I just think its funny how that dropped him down homogeneously...teams think their smart not picking him cause of that incident, but the guys still got talent and will learn and I'm sure he won't do it again. 1st was unlikely, but 2nd round projection he was at one point and damn did his stock ever fall....happy BB got him, especially cause we need help there. Ghostsof1915
RIP Junior Seau. You left way too young, and too many questions behind, when you had so much ahead. Loved him as a player and as a person.

Tony Romo
' Ravens' Terrell Suggs likely out for season with torn Achilles May 03, 2012 at 10:06 AM ET Baltimore Ravens linebacker Terrell Suggs has torn his Achilles and will likely miss the 2012 season, a source with knowledge of the situation said Thursday. Suggs was working out and doing drills in Arizona, which is his normal offseason plan. It's a huge blow for the pass-rush hungry Ravens, who will be without the reigning NFL Defensive Player of the Year. The Baltimore Ravens announced via Twitter, "We are in contact with Terrell. He will see a specialist early next week, and we'll know more at that time." Suggs had a career-high 14 sacks during the 2011 season along with two interceptions. Suggs was a first-team All-Pro selection for the first time last season and has made the Pro Bowl five times in his nine-year career.
