Montreal police have arrested one of the most sought-after fugitives in North America after a tipster recognized the man from the "Ten Most Wanted" list on the FBI's website.

Richard Goldberg, a 61-year-old accused of sexually assaulting children in California, was picked up early Saturday at an apartment in Dorval on Montreal's West Island, according to Erik Paradis, a spokesman for the Canada Border Services Agency.

Police believe Goldberg may have been living there for several years.

Goldberg was arrested "without incident" by a Montreal police SWAT team, said Paradis.

Police in Long Beach, Calif., allege that in 2001, Goldberg engaged in sexual acts with girls younger than age 10. He is also accused of producing images of the acts, which were allegedly later found on his computer.

Canadian border officials said Goldberg will appear in a Montreal courtroom on Monday on immigration charges.

After that, he will likely be extradited to the United States to face a number of charges.

Thank god he's being expedited. In Canada he'd probably get three months probation.

if the salt content is high enough in any lake it is probably possible to walk on the water...Oh and the dead sea splitting is possible as well, the wind conditions being right make this possible. Its obvious you aren't book smart or you would have known these things...and I personally have heard stories of even today where food is miraculously multiplied...
