Honda for sure.

Jetta is nicer, but its also more expensive and the reliability is poorer.

Elantra is just not desirable at all.

My Jetta is perfectly reliable <_<

I'd say that Jettas are also less likely to get stolen...

Civic coupe is 17,180 Ca$
Civic Hybrid is26,250 Ca$
Jetta is 23,475 Ca$
Jetta Tdi is 26,750 Ca$

So between a Jetta Tdi and a Civic Hybrid there is not much of a price difference but a great quality difference, I prefer Jetta's and I coudl be biased since all I have driven is VW's but that's just me, I have experience and so does my dad...He is glad he has a diesel at the moment ^_^
All you said was 'great quality difference'. How?

The hybrid gets better mileage, if that's what you mean. Honda engines are known for longevity, as well as their cars being known for reliability. VW I'm sure has a clean record as well, but I'm wondering what you mean by great quality difference.

Please, elaborate.

the second is the civic hybrid...The TDI has a better fuel economy and if you want to be kind to the environment biodiesel is better than gas...and yes it can be used in the cars with out compromising the warranty. It is better for the engine because it has a better viscocity and will keep your engine lubricated...plus in Canada you can get a rebate for buying a tdi check the vw canada site for more details...

lol I sound like a car sales woman lol...

see www.biodiesel.org for more info on biodiesel and where to get it in your neighborhood...

Oh and seeing the difference between a jetta and a civic is liek night and day for me, I just think that VW puts more quality into their vehicles...

I've driven older versions of both and have preferred the Jetta. Only experience I've had with a Hyundai was driving an old Pony - not good. I understand they're much better now, but take them all for a test drive and pick the one that impresses you the most.

^^ If the second is the civic, lower L/100km means better economy.

EDIT

Also, you're comparing the 5spd jetta to the CVT model of the civic. the 5spd model gets better economy, and doesn't cost extra.

sorry about that. it's kind of strange, actually. when i clicked "add reply" my computer froze. so i clicked it again. and then there were two replies of the same message. no sweat. that's what i expected. but it added two more about five minutes apart without me doing anything.
