I think the only reason I made it through 4th year quantum mech was the prof...he was awesome. Luckily most of my profs were pretty good, only 3 physics profs that I didn't like, a few more bad ones on the math side though...
Einstein's got a number of good quotes out there. I think my favorite though has to be the one in my sig.
I also like Mark Twain's "It is better to keep your mouth shut and be thought a fool than to open it and remove all doubt."

That is a Proverb Long long long before mark twain. Try king Solomon. I'll find the exact verse in a minute.
