Good trade for Minnesota.

They get rid of a goalie they no longer need since they have Backstrom and Harding signed. They clear cap space and get a solid winger in Kalus and a draft pick.

awesome deal for boston IMO, but the bad thing is that the wild now have cap room to maybe go after a guy like kariya, gomez,forsberg, etc, not good news for us Canuck fans

thats true. Boston needed a goalie quite badly. Looks like Tim Thomas will be a backup now :P

They have the cap room, but he should have AT LEAST gotten a somewhat decent prospect or some better picks in return. If I was a Wild fan I would be PISSED!

Kalus was drafted in 05 in the 2nd round (39th overall) by the bruins.

Not even close.

Minnesota just cleared 4.5 mil off their payroll from a guy they didn't need whatsoever to get a player with 1st or 2nd line potential with plenty of offensive abilities and quick skating. You may not remember but he was up for 9 games last season and got 4 goals.....playing for Boston "mixing it up with the bottom of the barrel" bruins. (sorry yuz)

If anything, Minnesota comes out ahead in this one.

I can't believe they got rid of Kalus....I could have easily seen him score more than Bochenski in the long run...
This is so stupid....

why, is he a good prospect? do u have any of his stats? it would make sense if he is infact a good prospect otherwise it would have been a terrible trade for the wild
