colors are vintage blue. and ONLY vintage blue (for the logo.) jersey - no idea what colors, althought it will most likely be current "vintage"

Actually no, it is slightly modified. The line that was formerly maroon has been completely removed. In my opinion it makes the logo appear to be a bit simplified but cleaner/sharper as a result, so it's a slight tweak that in my opinion improves the logo a bit, however it depends on the jerseys whether it will ultimately look good or not. It is not uncommon for teams to just tweak their logos without actually changing them, it happens all the time. For example just recently Boston tweaked their crest (slightly changing the B font) but you'd be hard pressed to notice the difference if you were unaware.

I give this thread a lot more credibility than other posts with peoples fake jersey mock ups. At least it is a photo as opposed to a digital photoshop image. Also you know that the picture is fairly recent because it has the new Western Conference logo in the top corner which was just released at the last AllStar game. Secondly if you flipped through the thread you would see that former logo unveiling's used a similar format/layout when their logos were released and put on display, ie BuffaSlug and Tampa.

Take it for what it's worth, but I have a feeling this is legit.

Once again, it's slightly modified as per the pics below, line around the whale removed. Is it that unbelievable that they're going to stick with the orca?? I am not at all surprised myself, it makes total sense to me. They keep the vintage base color and the orca logo such that previous jerseys (orca & vintage) will still adhere to the new design.

it's real, many of us know it, many of us have seen it

that's a confidential nhl style guide sent out by NHL marketing

i've worked with NBA ones and they use the same formatting, along with all other leagues

you just think you know what's going on

Yeah, but a lot of us has also seen the NHL style guide and can probably duplicate it and pass off the logo as a real one.

I'm not going to read through all the pages, but unless someone has posted the source of this screenshot, for all we know this style guide can be fake. Really... how hard is it to photoshop that style guide?

I did take that into consideration, but:

1.) the source who game the picture to me is a huge Ducks fan and does not care much about the Canucks
2.) he has told me he spent several days looking around various sites, including CDC, for "backdoor" stuff - that's how the SJS, DAL, and TML new websites were found.
3.) he tipped me on the Preds new jersey design and also sent me that picture that is on CDC forums

3 for 3. take it or leave it, but I say he has nothing to gain from this.

lots of people have already shown that the canucks already use this logo/color scheme at times (see the towel above)
this is pretty much the logo they use when they wanna be cheap and only use one color. I doubt it is our new logo.
