The last posted jersey is not even an official jersey its pure speculation so how could you even compare our jerseys looking like maples leafs practice jersey? Our colors are now blue/silver which is the start of a new era in the Canucks logo history and the Canucks colors haven't been blue/green since the 70's so I don't understand your point.

Guess what stupid, The City of Buffalo is petitioning to get rid of that Buffaslug logo & replace it with a logo that has Sabres on it. Do some research. The Islanders have an Island the rangers jersey says "RANGERS" the thrashers have a "T", Washingtons new Jerseys say "Capitals" & the Oilers say "Oilers". Not to complicated to understand. They all represent there names all of them. Maybe there might be a team with a logo that doesn't make sense. So I guess we should be stupid like them. The league laughs at us & our stupid logo. It confuses what a Canuck is. A Canuck should garner respect, not confusion

so our logo is shaped like a C which stands for Canucks if I'm basing on your point of view.

This is getting more hopeless, it seems like your just concerned what other people think rather than the own fans of the team. Also, do you think Buffalo is going to change their logo because theres a petition? They just changed their logo last year and regardless of how many signatures they get the organization is not going to embarrass themselves and change the logo again in such a short period of time.

This argument gives me new appreciation for the orca. If it's a simple blue and silver design, I'll be happily surprised by a jersey change in Vancouver which is very unusual.

If we want original colors, we could go with purple, pink and yellow you know. Otherwise, no team has original colors by the logic I am seeing in this thread.

Fact is, logos should represent the team. The orca, in the shape of the C, represents the Vancouver Canucks.

Surprise #1: the C in the logo stands for Canucks.
Surprise #2: Orca whales are distinctly west coast. Since Vancouver is on the west coast, perhaps an orca is best suited.

Orcas do indeed range from California to Alaska. That's one of the few things you got right and you weren't even sure about that. But, California they are more common during winter and Alaska more so in summer. In the Pacific Northwest (where Vancouver happens to be) they are commonly found year round.

You may want to check into the history of the term 'Canuck'. The logo you chose for your sig is based on a cartoon character created for political purposes. The term 'Canuck' originated as a derogatory slang term refering specifically to the French Canadian's and Hawaiian's working the fur trade in the Pacific Northwest. So if you truly want a 'Canuck' logo perhaps it should be a large Hawaiian (holding a hockey stick for hockey reference) wearing a fur coat and beaver cap. I'm sure that would be more to your liking than a simple 'C' logo.

You seem to like the Johnny Canuck logo as it's in your sig. So let's use your logic here and have a look at it. What does a lumberjack have to do with the fur trade, which is what the term Canuck actually refers to? Johnny Canuck was created by an editoial cartoonist in Ontario. No Vancouver or BC connection there. Your logo of choice makes no sense as we're 'Canucks' not 'The Lumberjacks', nor 'The Johnny Canucks'. Lumberjacks are everywhere and not specific to Vancouver. It's blue and white. You know, Leaf colors. Therefore, you must be a leaf wannabe.


Now let's look at that Orca logo that makes no sense to you:
C: C = Canuck. You seem to have no problem with T = Thrasher so where's the problem here?
Orca: Common to the Pacific NW, where Vancouver happens to be.
Style: Haida style art form. Again, common to the Pacific NW, where Vancouver happens to be.

Every element of the logo applies to the team name and location. I can see how that would confuse you.
