Posting the old Logo and saying it's the new logo is not even topic worthy.

The Orca is gone so wave goodbye to it forever.

It might and this is a very weak might, make an appearance on the shoulder patch.

My guess is the lumberjack still but also rumour has it just the Canucks on the front maybe on an angle.

Maybe they go complete off the wall though and bring back the V or a mix of all previous logo's.

Whatever it is it better look good and they better win a CUp with it, 37 years of non winning logo's so far :(

I guarantee that the logo in the picture is real

I will let you kick me in the balls if its not

Like I said...don't ask. Don't ask how I got it; don't ask where I got it.

It's here.

colors are vintage blue. and ONLY vintage blue (for the logo.) jersey - no idea what colors, althought it will most likely be current "vintage"

Now, Problem is, my friend would not tell me where/how he got it from, except that it is on a public site somewhere

Hopefully not.

Well, from some of the stuff I've heard (who knows if it's accurate), that's more or less what they're going to look like....

I have a friend who works at GM place that tells me the 'Nucks will be having a Press Confrence on Aug 29th...at this time the team will unveil it's new jersey and there is going to be some type of logo change..not sure if it is minor or major.

Also...did anyone else notice on the canucks site last week it listed the Orca Jersey as being in use from 1997 to 2007??? I maybe reading into it too much but this suggests to me that the logo with the Orca may be scrapped all together.

Sorry if you guys and gals already knew this....but keep your eyes open.

Later

I did this one and tried to make the blue look more like the one from the "leaked" logo by the OP. You people need to realize this is only speculation (I was curious about what it could POSSIBLY look like) and that the jersey will MOST LIKELY look completely different, so stop complaining that the colors look the leafs colors, etc.

That looks the best out of any jerseys posted so far. Although, I think they would use vintage colors, rather than that blue.
I don't talk about it, I be about it!

I'd retract that statement if I were you.

For all I know, it could be fake. And I'm the OP of this thread too :P

People should look at the homepage on the side is a blue with silver trim which means its very likely this is the Canuck colors.

If our team colors are blue and green perhaps you could point those colors out for me on the flying V, the skate, or Orca jerseys. It's been around 30 years since our team colors were blue and green. Living in the past?

Orcas do indeed range from California to Alaska. That's one of the few things you got right and you weren't even sure about that. But, California they are more common during winter and Alaska more so in summer. In the Pacific Northwest (where Vancouver happens to be) they are commonly found year round.

You may want to check into the history of the term 'Canuck'. The logo you chose for your sig is based on a cartoon character created for political purposes. The term 'Canuck' originated as a derogatory slang term refering specifically to the French Canadian's and Hawaiian's working the fur trade in the Pacific Northwest. So if you truly want a 'Canuck' logo perhaps it should be a large Hawaiian (holding a hockey stick for hockey reference) wearing a fur coat and beaver cap. I'm sure that would be more to your liking than a simple 'C' logo.

You seem to like the Johnny Canuck logo as it's in your sig. So let's use your logic here and have a look at it. What does a lumberjack have to do with the fur trade, which is what the term Canuck actually refers to? Johnny Canuck was created by an editoial cartoonist in Ontario. No Vancouver or BC connection there. Your logo of choice makes no sense as we're 'Canucks' not 'The Lumberjacks', nor 'The Johnny Canucks'. Lumberjacks are everywhere and not specific to Vancouver. It's blue and white. You know, Leaf colors. Therefore, you must be a leaf wannabe.
Now let's look at that Orca logo that makes no sense to you:
C: C = Canuck. You seem to have no problem with T = Thrasher so where's the problem here?
Orca: Common to the Pacific NW, where Vancouver happens to be.
Style: Haida style art form. Again, common to the Pacific NW, where Vancouver happens to be.

Every element of the logo applies to the team name and location. I can see how that would confuse you.

Excellent, excellent post - couldn't have said it any better.
Way to put that dumb@ss in his place.

Cold hard facts will never be beat by 'yur all embrass me as Canuck fans'.
If I told you I was a liar, would you beleive me?

18 pages on what is obviously a poor quality photo of the current logo passed through a color filter on photoshop. We will see the new Logo and Jersey's soon enough and in they end they won't help the team on the ice in any way.
Some useless bolded, all caps saying I think is clever.
A ludicrous lineup that could never happen.

Yet here you are --showing-off one of the most spectacularly butt ugly logos-- as a model logo we should aspire to.
Since Texas has Rangers too, New York shouldn't lay claim to the name.

According to you, that's why the orca doesn't work here: because other places have orcas.

Like other places have rangers?

Actually the original Owner of the NY Rangers was from Texas. Naming the team 'Rangers' was purely a reference to his Texas roots and had absolutely nothing to do with New York. But he's OK with that.

BTW, sorry about the drink issue. ;)

The problem with the C is it is over used already.

Montreal, should be the only team with it. Flames and Canucks also use it.

The Whale is a decent idea and kinda grew on us, but I hope they change it.

The Skate and the Rink were ok but I think the V has always been the Canuck jersey in a lot of folks minds.

Whatever it becomes lets see if we can keep it for a few years

A good way to make money and all, but really a team needs a longterm identity. Perhaps the V is what they should go back too.
