In an attempt to cut down on the upcoming surge of threads relating to the highly anticipated release of the new Canucks jerseys, I will be attempting to keep all speculation, rumours, suggestions, and questions relating to the new jerseys within this thread.

What we know so far: (I will update the list as more becomes known)

• The jersey's will be unveiled at 12:30pm on August 29th
  
  
• TEAM 1040 reports that the jerseys are expected to be "vintage colours"
  
• The Canucks spent over $1,000,000 on the design
  
  
• The jersey may or may not incorporate a new logo
  
• Canucks executives have said that the Orca logo will remain
  
• The new jerseys will have a tighter fit than previous versions

Logo Leak?


Alleged Leak:
Taking a closer look at the Orca logo on the alleged leaked version reveals some interesting changes that make it more believable.

I have created a HIGH RESOLUTION VERSION (UPDATED) of the leaked logo. As well as the leaked word mark "CANUCKS".
I've also edited the image of the jersey so it looks complete, and added the new standard NHL neckline.

Archive of Rumours: (I will update the list as speculation continues)

• The jerseys will be blue/green/white vintage colours
  
• The jerseys will drop the burgundy/red colour and remain Blue, White, and Silver
  
• The orca logo will be slightly modified
  
• The orca logo will be re-coloured to fit the new colour scheme [Alleged leaked logo]
  
• The jerseys will have an entirely new logo
  
• The vintage "stick in rink" logo will be used
  
• The "Johnny Canuck" logo will be used
  
• The jerseys will say "CANUCKS" across the chest
  
• The jerseys will say "VANCOUVER" across the chest
  
• The jerseys will no longer have horizontal stripes, and instead will have vertical lines

The interview on the Team 1040 today was extremely disappointing. I was expecting so much to come out of it but it ended up being a complete bust. They had a mention of the new jersey but most of the talk was about some of our free agents and news that happened today such as the Penner signing with the Oilers.

so far I'm not too excited about any of the designs I've seen on the forums. Not to take anything away from them cuz they're good work, but just none that I would really like to see as the next Nucks logo. I can only hope that the design is well thought out, neat, and hopefully I would like to see some darker colours in at least either the away or home jersey. Personally I like the old skate logo away jersey (black and orange). I would love to see Canucks have another black jersey, they look great!

This isn't going to be the real jersey. It was more of a mock jersey of what it could look like.

i dont expect much from it because they have tried so many logos they have to have settled for something not as good as they would have liked
