Love the silver/blue ones.

I am kind of hoping those aren't the real ones, cos I don't want to be broke.

I'd like to know whose ultimate decision it is on the actual logo. I don't know why they are keeping it with the new jersey. I don't know that many people that like the logo, but they are keeping it anyway. Birthing whale? It's pretty frustrating if you ask me.

Thanks to CC19 for the sig!

This is exactly how the new jerseys are going to look like:

This is from a trusted poster on HFboards.com that is willing to bet money on it since he has seen the blueprints and what is interesting is that he isnt even a Canuck fan but still putting up a huge fight to prove everyone wrong. He had me in doubts as well but I trust this poster now and I am confident this is how the jersey will look like.

Imagine:

Ziggy Stardust
Okay, so the vintage jerseys as a base with this logo on the shoulders:

And these for primary logos:
Posted Image

With "VANCOUVER" written across the top in White on the darks and Royal Blue on the whites.

I am hoping that these arent the jerseys and the leak is actually the real jersey but I will judge once they come out.

the orca with the dark blue and white is the only concept i liked so far so i am also hoping this guy wins his bet.

for what it is worth I was told by blueline sports that they come out the first week of september but are supposed to do a press release of them the last week of August.

I have a question, what do the kids have to do with our logo? Fin is not going to make more kids fans.

You're kidding, right? It's a fundamental marketing tool - hook the kids.

just keep checking the first page in this thread. When the official release date is known the first page should be updated with the info.

I understand hooking the kids, but you shouldn't need a kindergarden drawing for a logo to "hook" the kids. I was a kid when I started supporting the 'nucks & they didn't need Captain Kangaroo to do it.

For some reason you are linking Fin and the logo. I'm addressing only your comments about Fin.

I became a fan as a kid too, and Peter Puck was around then. There was also the Scotiabank hockey college magazine, and Royal Bank had player pictures you could collect. Overwaitea had a kids fan club as well. Hockey cards were cheap and disposable. There has always been some marketing directed at kids. There were also 5:00 home games on a Saturday, which helped.

The point isn't whether some kids will become Canucks fans on their own (or their parent's) accord without marketing directed at them. That will happen. Your suggestion that Fin wasn't going to make more kids into fans just doesn't make sense. Fin, C-Force and minor hockey/school visits by players and coaches are all instrumental in developing a young fanbase.

BCLIONS ARE NAMES AFTER THE LIONS ON THE NORTH SHORE. ALSO WHY, DO THEY HAVE FEMALE LION ON THE HEMET, WHERE AS THE DETROIT LIONS HAVE A MALE.

The BC lions do not have a female lion on their helmet. It's a Mountain lion. Mountain Lions do not have Manes

I'm just saying that keeping the whale on the jersey shouldn't have anything to do with fin & attracting children to the brand. I don't see why they can't use the stick n rink & keep fin as a mascot

May I add I think it's great that they try to attract the kids to hockey & the canucks. My kids were C-Force members when we lived there
