Those pink shirts and hats are REAL but they aren't our color scheme they brought out those way back, look through an athentix catalogue there are so many differnt colors and styles of hats and the orca that you can get, so doesn't mean they are the new colors of the team.

That's an official RBK DRAFT HAT. They don't come in multiple colours with different styled logos. There's one template, and every team follows that template using their OFFICIAL colours with their OFFICIAL logo. This has been stated many times in this thread, but people still assume that it's just another hat.

I could be photoshopped (if so, it would have to be one of the best jobs I've ever seen), but it's certainly not just a random hat.

And just for the people arguing "why would the Canucks be stupid enough to send a store their new logo on a hat if the jersey isn't out yet..." maybe that's because it's not the Canucks' decision. It's RBK's. RBK would no doubt be printing new Canuck merchandise in anticipation of the jersey launch which now appears to be coming very soon. You can't just roll out brand new stock overnight. Manufacturers are probably among the first "outside" people to get a look at the new logo/color scheme, not the general public. Various manufacturer's have probably been printing up new t-shirts, hats, pennants, stickers etc. for weeks now and are just waiting for the green light to release it all once the jersey is unveiled. Once that happens, nobody is going to want "old" merchandise and since it would take time to create an inventory that can be immediately rolled out for the masses the logo and colors have probably been seen by quite a few people already. It was probably RBK's intention to have these hats remain in the backs of the various stock rooms at these stores until the unveiling happened and this store simply broke protocol and released them prematurely.

The hat in the leak isn't the official draft hat. They used the "current" orca colors for the draft hat. However RBK is also using those hats for general official team hats, thus the new colors.

Exactly.

So far Sleeper's comments make the most sense to me. They are also in line with rumours about no green on the new logo, but green on the jersey. Of all the "leaks", this draft hat has the most potential to be legit. IMO
I also think it looks pretty cool.

Im not saying its NOT the new logo leaked, Im just trying to look at it from several points of views. So it's an "official draft hat" or do you mean its a draft hat style? Why would they make next years draft hat already anyways? obviously they haven't. I know what you mean about how there is always the one official team hat, NFL's RBK hats are a perfect example. But who's to say they haven't decided to expand the hat style with different colour schemes. Im willing to admit that there is a good chance that this leak is legit, but there's also a chance its not. And if it is legit wouldn't RBK have a don't sell before a certain date? And if they sold it before that date they would face serious fines. I mean, they do that with DVD's and CD's all the time.

I don't know what you're getting at here? I know the the current orca colors were used at the draft, the point I was making is that the template is exactly the same. Why would would RBK take that exact template and change the colors? They can't unless there's an official color change. They're not going to take that template and slap on anything they want on there because those are the official team hats for '07 which makes it all the more likely that those will be our colors and logo.
