haha... i'm sure orca would get rocked in a vote. there are a lot of supporters of the orca... but doesnt even come close to the amount of support the stick n' rink would receive

Yeah Orca would lose big time if it were to put to vote. I think it's lame that they insist on keeping it for corporate reasons.

i wouldn't be able to handle that... make fun of the canucks, your team is going down... but make fun of vancouver for its' awful taste in jersey selection? i'm not gonna back that up

The interview on the Team 1040 today was extremely disappointing. I was expecting so much to come out of it but it ended up being a complete bust. They had a mention of the new jersey but most of the talk was about some of our free agents and news that happened today such as the Penner signing with the Oilers.

I actually thought Nonis said more about the new uni's than I expected.

When told by a caller that the caller would be "very dissapointed if the Orca is the logo on the new uniforms", Nonis replied...

"Well then you're going to be very dissapointed".

Nonis confirmed that the Orca is the main logo. I know there's going to be lots of speculation regarding wordmarks, colours, trim, etc, but the logo was, a least, the main issue for me.

now, i know this cannot be representative of the WHOLE population of BC, or even CANADA, or even the few fans we have in the states... and what they think about the canucks' orca jersey...

but everybody that i talk hockey with in person, agree that the orca has gotta go, and the stick 'n rink should be the main logo... it's just so sharp... and way more fashionable.. come on... seriously... who's going to wear an orca baseball cap around and look cool doing it? (sorry if you're a person who wears one of those things around... just making a point)
