There was no green on any of the main logos, but there is green on the jersey, so any "leaked" pics with green on the logo are bullsh!t. Stick and rink was on one shoulder he couldn't see the other shoulder the direction Willie was walking.

So those of you who don't like those jersey, c'est la vie!

Wow, it seems that everyone has "friends" that seem to know what this logo/sweater is gonna look like. If all these "friends" are trustworthy, how many logos/sweaters are the canucks gonna use next year?

a lot of people are gonna be disappointed on Aug 29 because their "friend" made them look like an idiot on CDC

Every leak so far points to a colour change on the current orca logo. I have not heard or seen a "new" orca logo. Maybe your "friend" could spill some details.

Because not only did they come up with a new design, but every single piece of marketing material the team uses needs to be changed from banners and ads to season ticket packages and letterhead. Likely all evidence of the old logo inside and out at GM Place needs to disappear and be replaced with the new one.

It might be a fairly minor tweak to the logo, but changing every single object with the current logo on it is a big chore, and thereby... a big cost.

Not to mention copywrite costs for the new style logo and the new jerseys. thats alot of money!

I don't get why some of you are jumping on this guy...is it not conceivable to you all that someone out there has a friend that works at GM Place in some capacity and has seen the new look, or part of it?

My bet is if he had said that his friend claimed the new jersey was a RBK version of the vintage with the stick-in-a box as the primary logo, you'd be jumping for joy instead of shatting on this guy.

No it's not. Because the "Believe in Blue" logo uses an additional white line that the leak doesn't have. The new logo removed that line and added more color to the orca.

Thanks man but I really don't see everyone as jumping all over me. To me it's the disappointment coming to fuition because they are now realizing that the Orca is staying.

I'm telling everyone what I have heard which really seems to match up with released details by Nonis and Zimmerman.

I don't think anyone has ever said that we are getting a new main logo, I believe that someone said there will be a new logo somewhere on the jersey possibly the shouder - everyone assumed that the whale was gone but that won't be the case.

If rumours are true that a version of Johnny Canuck will be featured on the new jerseys that easily explains the $1 million price tag simply for the rights to this logo. Trademarking can be an expensive business people, how do you think some graphic artists make money?

Anyways take what I'm telling you for what it is - second hand information. If you want to hold on to hope that I'm lying go ahead.

Everything we've been told has been incorporated into this jersey and, like it or not, this is a pretty safe bet for what we'll see.

The Fin's Friends photo is the most realistic and well reasoned "leak" thus far. The hats and other images can be explained or doubted not as fakes, but as being older Canucks merchandise which often tinkered with the color of the orca. I'm not saying it's real, but it's the only photo I have seen which caused me to show people who don't belong to these forums what the new jersey could look like. Most have been impressed.

this is what i want to know (and am hoping is a result of proving fin's friends ISNT the jersey)
why would it cost so much? That's a very Simple jersey, and all that changed was colors for the main logo...
(EDIT: I don't doubt that perhap the blue and white orca is the new orca we will be using... but what about the rest of that
jersey looked good or cost a lot... thats the part i dont get)
