But really, I would be so happy if the logo ended up being the stick in rink. I can't think of one reason why they wouldn't want it as the main jersey. I mean, they liked it so much they even kept it for all of the playoffs last season, why all of a sudden change it?

Yeah me too, I'd be extremely happy. You make a good point. Obviously the stick in rink was popular among the fans last season and in the playoffs.. and they DID use the jerseys for the rest of the playoffs.. gah.
