Which is why I so badly want to see the entire screenshot, so we can tell whether it's the new jersey, or just the vintage.

See the jerseys on p. 82, because they're a pretty close rendition to what the real thing will look like. Although there's no green in the logo, green will still be present on the jersey.

you and be both buddy :D

to me, with the new photo, it looks like just the vintage. I'll have to compare it with a photo to be sure.

Compare the green stripes. It looks like it's in the same position, leading to me thinking it's only the vintage. If this does turns out to be the new jersey, then it's no more than the vintage jersey with an orca on the front.

The new jerseys will have striping nearly identical to the vintage jersey, so believe what you will.

I for one think it is the new jersey, just because Edmonton, San Jose, and Phoenix are all wearing their new yet to be unveiled uniforms too. It would be a massive fluke that this magazine would publish screenshots where every team is wearing their unreleased jerseys except for the Canucks.

well if 'Unr3al' is telling the truth,

then someone better callup pratt & taylor. they're pretty keen on the jerseys being Vintage. and they strongly think it is.

Ya, I'm not sh!tting you guys at all...

I check on CDC daily, and when I see something that is somewhat reputable I will zap it to some friends via msn to get their take on it. Personally I felt the cell phone pic of the wall has been the only believable leak. I have 3 good friends that work for EA. One of those friends I have been sending pics from CDC (only possible leaks, not fake mock ups) and then he phoned me today saying he saw them at work and they matched exactly like something I had sent him. So that being said I can't say 100% that what he saw was the real thing, but it is, if anything, some further proof that the new jersey will be blue/grey/white with the orca logo and the vintage blue as the base color and that we have likely already seen something very close to the real thing. He said there was no green in what he saw.

His take "...they're ugly..." "..all they did was slightly change the color of the orca logo..." "...they're blue with a bit of grey and white..."

I'm not sold 100% yet because I didn't see what he saw, but I can guarantee he's not lying to me. I'm just not sure what he saw and until the Canucks actually realease the jersey nothing is official. It is however additional proof that we are sticking with the orca and the colors are to be vintage blue, grey and white.

looks like Mitchell knew what he was doing when he "spilled the beans" on pratt and taylor and said he liked the vintage colours on it.

alot of people will think that they're ugly and look like practice jerseys, but if people remember, they made the practice jerseys streamlined. so ofcourse its gonna look like a practice jersey. its based on it.

i wouldn't mind that canucks logo with vintage blue as teh base colours. is there any word if theres a "canucks" word mark on top. that would be sweet.

That's why he posted it... to show that the logo on the copyright site was in use prior to this season. Notice the dark ice chunks...

The difference is in the flying ice chips. In the new logo they are white. In the old they are dark.

Ya, I agree with you about the "streamlined" look. My only hesitation about what my friend has told me is that some computer geeks put in their own mock ups of the jersey in to the game that was demo'd to the employees.

All along I have felt that the orca is going to stay and that vintage blue will be the base color so I'm not surprised what I have heard. I'm going to ask him if he saw Canucks over top of the logo or not.

Hey, on the front page, on the screeen about becoming the next canucks blogger, notice the colours of the orca lights. I don't know if they've always had the balck and white, or is it navy and white ones like those? are they new?

I have proof that the uniform worn in the magazine pic, is in fact the new jersey.

Look very, very closely at the socks worn in the magazine:

Posted Image

Now look at the socks the Canucks are wearing here:

Posted Image

Anyone else see what I see? The two pairs are different.

In the magazine scan, the colours from top to bottom are:

Blue
White
Green
White
Green
White
Blue

While in the second picture, the socks are the same ones always worn with the vintage 3rd jersey:

Blue
White
Green
White
Blue

What does this all mean? Well, new socks being worn mean that the new jersey is being worn. If the new jersey is royal blue with vintage striping, then expect the uniform to be incredibly similiar (nearly identical) to the one on pg. 82. I've been saying this for awhile now, but finally I can put a bit of solid proof behind my claims.

EDIT: From p. 82:

About as close a rendition as you're gonna get of the new jerseys. Just replace the "Canucks" wordmark with "Vancouver" and add the modernized stick-in-rink as the shoulder patch. I guarantee it.

That really is a very sensual jersey. Not exactly a fan of the lettering on the front of the jersey, just the plain logo is enough for me.
