I really hope that's not it. If it's the Orca with Vintage colours, I'm going to be very disappointed. However, if it is Orca with the Vintage, I think they can do better than that cell phone pic. It just looks... plain. Just changing the border near the bottom and making it thicker or making it the same as the current Vintage would make it way better.

I'm reposting my reply from the other thread in the hopes that there will be more on-topic discussion.



To be perfectly honest, I'm dreading what they came up with... can't say I was a fan of the "current" logo (the Orca) at the start, but that did eventually grow on me. On the other hand, when they brought back the vintage jerseys (stick in rink), I immediately loved those.

These jerseys are not looking promising to me since a) they have the new style jersey which I'm not a fan of (too tight/poor general shape and the rumored request that horizontal stripes be removed) and anytime someone is paid a bunch of money to come up with some "hip, relevant" design, I get scared to see the result. It's a shame that they didn't hold a design contest like the Moose did, since along with some ugly designs (which are unavoidable) it produced some really astounding ones too.

I have no doubt that if a competition for Canuck fans was held, the winning design would have been well received by most fans (see England Wins' designs). Of course that would be assuming that the Canucks listened to fan feedback during the process (a poll, for example).

yeah i kind of agree with you.....but i wouldn't really mind seeing the Orca in vintage colors, but the jersey is sort of plain.....

...Blue Jackets, Senators, Bruins, Kings, and pretty much every other hockey team. It's more about what has to do with the city and like it or not Orca's are a part of Vancouver.
