Oh the vintage jerseys from last year are some of the best of all time but I really do think that the calgary jersey is also one of the best, plus the sea of red just looks amazing during the playoffs

A sea of vintage blue would be awesomER.

And by reminding us of that you are accomplishing what exactly?

We should design a new logo. I love the vintage logo but it's time for a change. We need something that all fans will like (that will be hard to do) and something that we won't have to change or tinker with every few years.

We've never been able to design the right logo that fits not only the team, but also the city. The Orca logo fits the city but what does it say about the team? That all of our players play like Whales on skates? At least when it comes to teams like Phoenix you can say that they play like rabid Coyotes or like the Thrashers that can thrash their opponent at any time.

Who's with me? Not only change the design of the jersey, change the logo completely.

I don't necessarily agree with you about what you said about the Orca jersey, but I do agree with you about changing the logo completely. Personally, I hate change. But right now I'd like for them to either keep a current logo or change the logo completely. I'm all for the Vintage or keeping the Orca, but none of that in between stuff!

Thanks For The Sig Daybreak

for sure, plus the vintage logo just has an air of class to it, much like the maple leaf, the C and the B, the vintage logo was right in the 70's and it should be right for the 2000's, i mean if you look in the stands and see how many more vintage jerseys there are, it boggles one's mind when we found out that the vintage jersey wasn't becoming the new one, i mean we wore it so much last season wtf?

One thing about the Stick in Rink logo that has always puzzled me is that everyone says that the stick forms the "middle" of a stylized "C" (Which would be the blue part in the below pic), but to me, the outer Green "rim" forms more of a Rectangular "C" than the "C" formed by the "blue part". To me it's a lot easier to see the Green "C".

yes and no, its be such a hit because of its limited use, but the love for it is there now, and people want it, so why hasn't the ownership respected what we want? And changing the Orca to vintage colours is not throwing us a bone, its just a slap in the face

The "C" of Red is fantastic, but I still don't think their logo is all that great. But our sea of blue would be amazing (if it ever happens). Besides, water puts out fire. ;)

Oh god, that was lame.

fire evaporates water. . .ya lame

the "C" isn't that creative, i just think the contrast between the red and the black is very very sharpe, if I didn't hate calgary as much as I do, i'd get one of their jerseys.

ppl stop trashin the orca logo, its the nucks logo and is going to remain the logo...however it would b sweet if the home jersey had the stick-in-rink logo and the away had the orca or the other way around, kinda like the jerseys England Wins made but the orca instead of the johnny canuck ..that way most ppl would b happy

Many people have hated the logo from day one of its existence. I was 8 years old when it got unveiled and I've always hated it and same goes with many of the guys that I know that are in my age range. I get what Nonis and Zimmerman are saying about not changing the logo every few years but the current whale logo that we have is butt ugly.

I'd rather see them keep the whale but dump the way it's currently formed with it jumping out of the water. Maybe something like the San Jose Sharks logo where the whale would be holding a stick or something of that magnitude.

Exactly. There seems to be a mindset here that it will satisfy both sides. They don't have to change the logo and they get to keep the very popular Vintage colour scheme. But merging the two together is such a bad idea. It doesn't give the best of both worlds, it just makes both look terrible. Just stick to one or the other, not both.

The contrast between the red and black looks really good, but I still can't say I like the jersey or I'd have to kill myself.

and by trying to do so they're gonna alienate allot of people over this. . .however I just had a thought, do you think there's any chance that all this information, nonis's comments, the allegeded "leaked" photos, could all just be a big diversion? I mean generate all this hype, create some buzz, get people to buy stuff now out of fear of a change to something they don't want?

Go with me here people. This is the idea of a possible logo that I am pondering in my head.

How about a cartoon like picture of an Orca whale doing a trick (like the one below) with one of its flippers holding on to a stick and a puck up in the air in a 3D type mode?

Posted Image

It's just a little idea. Too bad I don't have photoshop because this would look awesome. I guarantee it.
