you do realize that outside of this forum......people are NOT that psyched about this. Sure they are curious, but their lives have not stopped b/c the new sweaters haven't been released!!! All this "hype" is mostly on here. The average fan just wants to watch the canucks play, they could care less if the sweaters have green in them, vertical or horizontal stripes, etc.

Most Canucks fans I know aren't aware of much of this either and they aren't counting anything down.

I am baffled why people are getting upset. The Sun posted we would see these things August 1st. Nonis didn't tell us that. The date has never changed on the Canucks' part and I doubt they're worried in the slightest.

Here's what he says to expect:

The uniforms are BLUE, WHITE, AND SILVER/GREY......No sign of any Green whatsoever!
The HELMETS are DARK GREY....as are the gloves
The ORCA is the primary mark.....and the word marking "Vancouver" is in fact arched over top of the logo in a font much like the fins and friends pic
The side patch is the STICK N RINK
All logos are trimmed in metallic silver

I'll find out soon enough how strong this leak is......but in the mean time I'm gonna digest the fact we're gonna wearing DARK GREY helmets?....and have no Green in the uniform.

AFter following both of the jersey threads, I finally feel inclined to comment.

There's probably been 5-10 several concepts/leaks/ideas on what the Canucks jersey's for the upcoming season will look like, and I can finally say the above noted jersey is probably the one I'd like the most.
It keeps the current logo to maintain identity, but updates the colors - I still hope the Canucks don't combine past colors with current logo.
I hope this is finally it, but we will find out by next week. *crosses fingers*

The most encouraging part about this news is that the jersey that Luongo is wearing on the main page looks nothing like the Fin's Friends leak!!!!!!!! Actually that white and blue looks damn sharp.....lets hope they didn't f*ck the rest of it up!

naslund wearin the new jersey too? when you read the whole story theres a pic with nazzy wearin a vintage blue jersey with a white stripe comin down the shoulder. could just be vintage practice jersey....
