The team switched to that font long before these "cellphone leaks" happened. It's quite possible that whoever created the cellphone leak did that on purpose to make it look more believable but I highly doubt that it's the new jersey when you consider it's the exact same template used by Washington.

Columbus, Boston and Washington all unveiled theirs at the draft and their fans still have to wait til the 14th. Be thankful it's only a couple of weeks!

Everyone has to wait, that's the point. They've had to wait longer, even though they've known what their jerseys are going to look like for months.

OK, then you think it's a good business decision to make the fans wait an extra two weeks because the jerseys aren't going to be made available until the 14th, yet you've got the chance to do pre-sales so that when the jerseys are available people can just simply pick them up and won't have to worry about them selling out before they have a chance. Kinda tough to drum up business and sell something that nobody knows what it will even look like yet don't you think?

The Luongo Jersey is just a blank template. (Yes teams have used a single colour collar, but this only has the inner collar coloured vintage blue.) It should be enough along with Luongo wearing his vintage mask to all but confirm the new jerseys will use vintage blue as the primary colour. (Not that we didn't know this already.

The Naslund picture is a practice jersey and I believe it is old stock. It seems familiar, but I don't know where to find it. You will notice a scrape on his cheek and a bruise on his nose. I suppose those could be faked for a photo shoot, but I'm guessing it is from mid-season.

People will be buying the new jersey no matter what.......everyone always wants the latest and newest things.......and this new jersey will be no exception. They will sell thousands and thousands of them before the pre-season evens starts.......trust me.

Logo leaked?

A quick mock-up in mspaint:



notice the lighter shade of the orca in the header and the apparent darker area for the teeth outline, plus the white areas at the bottom left of the teeth area. the outline appears to be the same shade as the orca. also take note of the top of the ice that hasn't broken away.

the ice appears to be a solid white with either a dark outline or no outline, with the shards being darker than the orca and a white outline.

I really doubt that. You people have become so paranoid and tired of alleged leaks and concept jerseys, that when the Canucks actually post a real teaser of the new jersey, you think it's fake.

We know that they've had a photoshoot with the new jersey, so why would Naslund and Luongo not be in the new jerseys? Honestly ...

I agree, and I think people knowing what they're actually buying will have a huge hand in that. If you ask people to spend their money blindly you wouldn't see close to the types of pre-sale numbers that you would get if they're unveiled before they're released, it's common sense.

For people commenting on the white stripe on the blue jersey worn by Naslund versus the white jersey worn by Luongo, keep in mind that the home and away jerseys can be different, they don't have to be inverted dark and light colors so those could in fact be snapshops of the home and away jerseys. For example Nashville's jerseys are a bit different layouts if you compare the sleeves on their two jerseys, the away sleeves are the same the entire length of the arm while the home jersey switches colors halfway down. All that being said I would tend to agree that the white jersey worn by Luongo is a blank template.
