Can somebody tell me what page Fin's Friends leak is on again?

On the fins friend jersey the stick and rink shoulder pads are the same as the modernized stick and rink logos. Look closely and you will notice the white stick does not go thru the green border where as the original one it does, and also the stick is on a slight angle. I have pic of modernized one, but can't seem to upload it. This has to be legit now.

People posted the NHL 08 EA sports pic of the potential new Canucks jersey and it showed that the socks had like 4 lines in between. the sleeves on this fin jersey have like 4 lines too...

Anyways what he's said is what most of us have come to realize that the Fin's Friend pic from a while ago is a very close resemblance to what he saw.

What he told me tonight is very interesting though. He was saying that the Canucks had a few variation of new and old logos to choose from when coming up with the new jerseys. Zimmerman, coming from Nike, is very big on study groups (as they are at Nike) and incorporating public opinion into big decisions.

They held several study groups throughout North America showing each different versions of Canucks logos, old and new as well as other widely recognized sports teams logos, like the Yankees, Red Wings, Packers...etc.
These groups were then asked what logos they remembered the easiest.
Of all the Canucks logos the Orca "C" was chosen as the most recognizable and most liked by the groups.

This is why they chose this logo to update and use as the main logo on the new jerseys.

Now before you guys jump down my throat about if there were study groups someone would have leaked the info just think, these were blind studies and the end results are not known to these people. They are also not all hockey fans but these groups consisted of a random sampling of the North American public. They are debriefed but not told specific details.
Lets face it Canucks fans will buy the jersey anyways so they find out what will sell best outside of the die-hard fans - which is in fact the majority of the population!

So when you guys see the final product just know that these designs and logos were chosen not by the Canucks brass but the average public.

This also explains where that million dollars went. The marketing agencies who do this research for the Canucks are not cheap, if you want it done properly!!

Again this is second hand info but to me it's very reliable and explains quite a bit IMO.

Also if any of you participated in a sports logo recognition study you may have inadvertently decided what logo the Canucks are keeping!
Something to chew on.

It does make sense in that the Canucks want to also market their merchandise to American and non-hockey fans too.
That said, it is possible that the majority of the 1M would be spent on this sort of stuff.

Side note: if your source was the head of maintenance, and Cancuks mgmt saw this, won't they fire him for "leaking out" any jersey info?

OK, maybe I'm missing something here, but I don't get what people are talking about when they say the "new logo" and it's just the same logo they had last year. I mean obviously the colours look different, but it's still the same logo right, or has something else changed on it that I'm missing?

Still same logo but different color. Blue whale and silver C and Vancouver/Canucks written above logo depending on home or away. Go to page 136, half way down. Possible new jersey pics.

Most people think the arched name sucks, but it could be smaller like they have on some NFL/CFL jerseys. We can only hope and pray it doesn't look like crap. There is a site that has all the new jerseys on it. Have you seen it ? JERSEYS
