Is it not plausible that that's what he told me?

Anwyays, i'm not saying whether I believe him or not. All I"m saying is that's what he told me. Does anybody have anything to substantiate it? or is it just bogus?

Not BS on your story but what he told you sounds like BS.

Anybody else mad, well not mad but dissapointed, that the orca is staying with only minor changes. I mean it never was the great of a logo and they(being the Canucks ownership) didn't even ask the fans advice on the new uniform. On the other hand I personally beleive that this new uniform won't last long most likely 3-5 years. I do not have any body whoes told me this working on the inside, and i'm not willing to bet my immaculate reputation on it however, just my thoughts.

dark jerseys give a psychological impression of dominance over light jerseys. i don't care if some light jerseys look better than their counterparts, that's fact. white is what you have with all colour REMOVED. black is what you have when all colour is PRESENT. light jerseys should, obviously, should reflect this impression because our team has been removed from its home. dark jerseys should be using the dominating impression we get from dark colours (black meaning everything is PRESENT) to show that we are symbolically present in our home stadium. whether you buy that sort of thing or not doesn't matter, and if that's not basically reason enough, there are plenty of other reasons to have dark as home jerseys. 99% of your jersey being white does not overly show your team colours or stand you out particularly in a crowd. even if your dark jersey isnt black, the dark jerseys display team colours much more effectively, unless im much mistaken that one of the nhl teams has white as it's primary colour? but that would be pretty boring i guess. and if you don't think coloured jerseys stand out better against white or lighter jerseys, then you must be blind. PWNED. home jerseys should be dark. discussion over.

One thing that has always bothered me about wearing darks at home is... a season ticket holder would watch 41 home games... every night you would see us in the same dark color say navy or vintage blue vs the road team in white. Every single game. You watch blue vs white. Under the old system of home whites we would see different color uniforms on our ice most games. Then we when go on the road the home team would see their white vs our blues.. and maybe the next game they see detoit's red or tamps new black.. you get the picture.

I agree and that's why it wouldn't bother me if they switched back.

Season tix holders of the late 1980's had it best. They would see that beautiful Yellow of the canucksPosted Image

and every other teams road/dark colour

Can someone tell me what jerseys these are? I was looking at some of my old Canucks Tickets and I noticed the player wearing this jersey. Does this jersey even exist?

It has "CANUCKS" written on the front.

Hey
so i was talking to this employee at Authentix and he told me that the jersey was leaked by Willie Mitchell.
He claims that it's the orca minus the red and light blue, and fading down into black.
Anybody have a photo of this? Anybody hear of this?

is this what you're talking about

not really, it was obvious the orca was staying since everyone moaned about the logo changing too much and the canucks lacking identity. So i guess it make sense for them to keep this one for so long as this is what the younger fans know, so itll be around for a while i think

I believe they played in those in the early 70's, but not sure how long.

I think keeping the orca was a good idea, for those of you saying we should ahve gone back to teh skate, well, I think that would be a bad idea, most younger fans (the future) won't have ever been alive or been a fan when we wore thsoe, they'd feel disconnected, I think what they did was good, keep the same logo, so the young ones have someting too. I meann all of us older fans got our day with the skate and stuff, but now it's time to move on, the orca is the future.
