I think that is what they are trying to do with this one. They are spending lots of time and money and putting what seems to be a lot of effort to make this new jersey great and leave it as the team jersey for a long time to come.

Hopefully we aren't dissapointed.

that jersey doesnt look very "fitted" it just looks like the regular one and in just a different design

look at the bottom left corner of the jersey,where it spreads out to the left in a triangle shape,the green area was shaded in...that pretty much proves it was photoshopped.

It is obvious. You can clearly see “MaximAfinogenov'” written on the top right corner. Besides, why would Salo be in Vancouver at this time of year? He's probably with his family in Finland.

IT IS PHOTOSHOPPED! It wasn't supposed to be a secret or have anyone think it wasn't! Maxim is making a point and showing an example on how it would look if that was in fact the new jersey

How about the flying V in the blue and green? With the orca or Johnny where the skate logo was on the sleeves? Any photoshoppers want to take a crack at that?

I actually tried that before, when I was screwing around with jersey concepts....the blue and green just doesnt work with the flying V colors....it doesnt look right.

Here's a thought, everyone bashes the new sweaters for being tight fitting saying that hockey sweaters have to be loose and thats the way it is. Well I'm not old enough to recall, but back in the day everyone wore tight fitting jerseys. Look up all the old pics of Howe and before that.

hey genius......equipment was a hundred times smaller in the 50's and 60's than it is today.

the league wasnt wearing "smaller streamlined" jerseys on purpose...thats just the way they were designed.I have CCM hockey jerseys from the 80s that are size XXL and compared to newer jerseys of today ,they now fit like a L.All type of clothing is bigger today than it was in the past..in all sports.

players are wearing football sized shoulder pads now....back then, they were paper thin.Goalie equipment also.

Gretzky I think officially started the trend of oversized large jerseys when he broke into the NHL in 1979...after that players started wearing bigger sizes,for better movement.
